The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
Still some construction noise this week, although most days it wasn’t too bad, just a few noisier moments. I did struggle with some shoulder pain and headaches this week, every time I thought it was gone it came back again. I did a bit of cleaning as our bathroom sink didn’t drain properly anymore, which is fixed now.
I’ve been dealing with low energy levels and feeling more down than usual. This often happens during winter, so I am not surprised, but we had a very sunny autumn so far and it started later than normal. The scaffolding in front of our house also means less light gets inside, so that’s not helpful. The last few weeks have been pretty gloomy, but luckily we just had a few sunny days. I’ve been taking extra vitamin B12 since earlier this year, which has helped with my energy levels, so maybe it would be even worse without those. My boyfriend bought one of those daylight lamps for me, so we’ll see if that helps.
I got the 2 books formatted that I was hoping to get done this week. Just waiting for feedback about any changes that I need to make and then I can get the ebooks for all of those done too.
I also did some more blogging and prepared one of the end of year top type of posts. The one I wrote was for my favorite re-reads of the year and I have 3 more planned, hope to create those in future books. They all will be posted end this year.
What did I read this week?
Again a good reading week with two solid 4 star books.
Competing Against Thor was a fun paranormal romance involving a sculpting competition. I really like this series and this one was no exception.
Murder Past Due was a cozy mystery with a very good mystery, lots of twists and turns.
This week I blogged about:
– Review: The Joy Document by Jennifer McGaha
– Review: Deadly Crush by Maddie Day
– Review: Slaying at Stanway by A.C.F. Bookens
Those daylight lamps really help for some people! Fingers crossed it’ll help you as well.

I heard they can really help for some people, so I really hope they can help me too as winters are such a struggle now.
Sounds like you’ve had a productive week despite some obstacles.I hope the daylight lamp helps.
Have a great week!
Thanks, I hope so too!
I too have less energy in winter! And I should prepare for some end of the year posts as well!
The less energy in winter is such a struggle, sorry to hear you deal with that too. I hope I can get some more end of the year posts done this week.
yes when it is darker and colder I just want to curl up and sleep more. Or read in bed.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Same here, it’s tough to get anything done.
So my friend who is a nutritionist and lets me know what vitamins I should be taking recently told me I needed to make sure I was taking magnesium. I did some research into it, and you might check it out if you’re not taking any, it might help with seasonal issues as well as getting good sleep. I need to order some. I found some that is a hot cocoa mix, but I want to see what all the other ingredients are in that before I buy it. Hope you have a good week!

Thanks for sharing that advice from your nutritionist friend. I have been taking magnesium for a while as I heard it helps with tense muscles, I didn’t realize it might work with seasonal issues as well, seems it doesn’t helps as much for me on that front. That magnesium in cocoa mix sounds interesting, I just have some pills I can chew.
I’ve been writing the end of year posts too. I hope you have a good week.
It’s fun to get the end of year posts written. I look forward to seeing everyone’s posts!
I’m not much affected by the winter months, but I do love some soft lighting in the early evening dark and I tend to want the citrus fruits more often in the winter. Way to go getting the sink working properly again and getting the book jobs finished.
Have a good week, Lola!
I was glad I could fix the sink and it drains properly again. Now let’s hope the daylight lamp helps.
Hope the daylight lamp helps you! Seems like a great idea.
I hope the daylight lamp will help me, I thought it was worth a try. I finally figured out a good setup and were to place it, so hopefully I’ll see some results soon.
