The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
I was pretty tired and felt disregulated a lot this week, I think as a result form the last few stressful weeks with all the renovations going on here. Luckily this week was a bit less noisy, a few mornings there was some noise, but most of the time they were working somewhere the noise didn’t travel to us easily.
On Monday I had a nice lunch with my sister. We went pretty early and the timing with it on a Monday was great as it was pretty quiet. We also bought a few Stroopwafels, two thin waffle cookies with syrup between them, they are really good and the place we visited has a store that sells some really good quality ones.
I was struggling to keep up with the usual household chores this week. We did a little bit of cleaning, but neither of us had much energy so we didn’t do much more. I formatted two books for one of the authors I am working for and am now waiting on feedback on what changes to make.
What did I read this week?
The Book of Candlelight was great, I really like this series, cozy with heavier topics.
To See the Sun was a re-read and I love this story so much. If you like m/m scifi romance please check it out, the author just re-released the book with a new cover.
A Fatal Autumnal Stew was a great read, I like that the main character is a genderfluid autistic vampire. The characters in this book are great.
This week I blogged about:
– Review: The Coharie Beach Café 1 by Casey Dawes
– Review: A Market of Dreams and Destiny by Trip Galey
– Review: The Unmasking Workbook for Autistic Adults by Jessica Penot
Glad you had time to do some reading along with the other distractions and chores! Have a good week.
It was nice to be able to fit some reading in 🙂
Good that you got a reprieve from all the builder noise and could get some tasks done for your authors. Hopefully you’ll get the energy back to keep hitting your cleanout. Looks like you had some good reading this week.
Have a good week, Lola!
I am glad there was less noise this week. I hope next week or so we can resume our cleaning, but it seems we really needed a bit of a break. It was a good reading week for sure.
Glad to hear the noise was less. There are some weeks where you need to take a break and relax a bit. I really need to vacuum. I’m trying to do it around the dogs and my daughter’s odd sleeping hours because she hasn’t felt well.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
It was nice to have a week with slightly less noise and we really needed a break this week. I hope your daughter is feeling better soon.
I have so much I want to do around my house with cleaning and putting up decorations, but I pulled/strained a muscle in my hip this week and am on restrictions of not lifting/pulling/pushing anything over 10 pounds for 2 weeks. So I guess that’s what I’ll be using my Thanksgiving break for. I hope you have a good week!
It is so tough to make the time to get everything done even under the best of circumstances. Sorry to hear about your strained muscle and that causing you to not be able to do much for 2 weeks. i hope you recover quickly!
It’s nice to have some time with family. Have a good week.
It was good to see my sister again and have lunch.
