The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was quite the busy week and it left me feeling tired. We had an appointment early this week which didn’t go very well and was quite stressful.
Then later in the week I had a dentist appointment, luckily no caries, but I always hate going to the dentist and get very anxious. Going to the dentist is always very sensory overwhelming and uncomfortable for me, so I was pretty tired afterwards. Since I found out I am autistic I’ve been working on figuring out the best way to recover from stressful events like this. And just relaxing for a few days usually seems to work well. I bought some donuts after my dentist visit and then spent most of that day relaxing, reading a book and taking a nap. I couldn’t relax as much the day after that, but just having one day like that was already very helpful.
There is some good news too, our mosquito issue might finally be resolved. The repair company stopped by another time and most of the mosquitos seems to be gone now, we still find some every day, but already so much less than it used to be. I am just hoping it stays this way and we can get rid of the last few mosquitos as well.
We also did a bit more cleaning out our house, we’re now mostly done with the living room and kitchen. It was nice to make some progress on that again.
What did I read this week?
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Turns Out My Online Friend is My Real-Life Boss! by Nmura
– Review: The Grim Steeper by Gretchen Rue
– Review: Immortal Fire by Annette Marie
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: All Sales Fatal by Laura DiSilverio
– Review: Rite of Blood and Secrets by Laura Greenwood
– Review: Something More by Jackie Khalilieh
I understand about the dentist. My doctor prescribed some meds I take the day before and day of appointment. It helps a kit.
Sorry to hear you also struggle with the dentist. That’s good you have some meds that help a bit.
We haven’t had many mosquitos this year due to the drought in our area. I don’t miss them! Have a good week.
That is nice you didn’t have many mosquitos, although having a drought doesn’t sound good either.
Fingers crossed the mosquito problem is truly fixed! I need to go to the dentist, but really want to try to find a new one. But then I never do anything about it. I hope you have a better week!

I hope so too, we’re still seeing a few every day, but not as many as before luckily. That’s a pain having to find a new dentist.
I don’t think I’m on the spectrum, but I do understand how exhausting being overstimulated is.
What a clever title: All Sales Fatal. I can’t wait to read your review on that one.
Being overstimulated is really exhausting and always takes me some time to recover.
I really enjoyed All Sales Fatal and the title is a clever one for sure.
I’m so glad you have progress on the mosquito front. It’s excellent that you have strategies to help yourself and relaxing and reading is always a good strategy! I hope you have a great week!

I am so happy there’s finally progress on the mosquito front, that problem went on for way too long. Relaxing and reading after the dentist visit was nice.
Dental visits are stressful, for sure. Yay about the mosquitoes. Hopefully, you’ll feel more the thing after some quieter days.
Have a good week, Lola!

I am glad to have the dentist visit over with again. I hope some quieter weeks are next :).
Hopefully the mosquitoes are gone. I hate going to the dentist.

I hope so too, the mosquito problem has been going on for so long now, I am ready to be done with it.
Glad there is progress on the mosquito front. Going to the dentist is super, super triggering for me. All Sales Fatal is such a good title, I hope the book lives up to it!
Sorry to hear going to the dentist is triggering for you. I know it’s important to go, but it’s so stressful. The book sure lived up to great title, I really like that series so far.
All Sales fatal is a great title. I hope this week isn’t as packed with appointments!

I thought the title for that one was great too. This week no appointments luckily.
