sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This week brought us some good news in terms of the stuff my boyfriend has been dealing with the past few weeks, so that was quite the relief. It’s not all settled, but we’re in a stable place financially until it does, which is good.

I was struggling a bit mentally this week, this sometimes happens after a stressful period. I did a bit of mind work, trying to focus on what I wanted and made me happy and trying to steer my mind away from my negative mindspace. It’s a lot of effort, but it seems to be helping and by the end of the week I felt a bit better.

We’re still dealing with the mosquito issue, but most days aren’t too bad, then we suddenly had a few days with a lot of smaller ones somehow getting in our house. That was baffling and we have no clue how they’re still getting in except for when we open the front door. So that’s unfortunately still not resolved.

I did a bit of assistant work this week. I also requested a bunch of non-fiction books on Netgalley as I want to try and read more of those.

What did I read this week?

  1. So glad about the good news and the work you could get done. I’ll look forward to seeing what you think of that stack of Non-Fic books.

    Have a good week, Lola!

    • It was such a relief to get that news. I look forward to getting to the new non-fiction books and still waiting to see if I get approved for some of them.
