The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This week continued in much of the same vein as last week with more stress. My boyfriend is dealing with some stuff that’s important and stressful. Don’t want to go into details as it’s hard to explains and involves some dutch organizations and stuff, but it’s been a pain and didn’t go well and now more effort is needed.
My monthly period migraine arrived, so that was a few days of not feeling well. Got some pretty bad brain fog this time as well as just feeling down and tired. It also was very warm again this week, which was unpleasant. And the few days the weather was cooler it was still sunny and our house hardly cooled down.
We also tried a few more things to prevent the mosquitos from getting in and so far it seems to work, although we still find a few of them most days. Literally every little gap anywhere they could possible get in has been closed by now as well as any possible place of entry for them. I spoke to some neighbors this week and the whole complex seems to be struggling with them.
I was dealing with a weird issue with some books I formatted and the support team figured out what was causing it, so I could fix those books and they now look like how we wanted to. Glad that got resolved. I also did a bit more assistant work, some smaller things and tweaks, which were good to get done.
What did I read this week?
Now for some more fun new, I read some good books this week. All of these except for the manga were four stars and I enjoyed them. Most of these were books by already familiar to me authors.
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Pippi’s Inn for Wandering Spirits by Erin Ritch
– DNF Reviews May, June and July 2024
– Review: Stoney Gazes for Helpful Gorgons by Laura Greenwood
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: Die Buying by Laura DiSilverio
– Review: A Witch Worth Praline For by H.Y. Hanna
– Review: Full Speed to a Crash Landing by Beth Revis
You did get several struggles at once. Hopefully, you’ll catch a break from the heat soon. Yay for getting to some really good books this week and figuring out the formatting issue.
Have a good week, Lola!
I just realized I never replied to this comment. I was so happy to figure out the formatting issue.
Well I’m glad the formatting issue got resolved and hopefully the migraine is over. Wishing you a better week ahead!

I was so happy the formatting issue got resolved and could finish the formatting work on these books. The migraine is over now luckily.
You had quite a few reads this week! I can’t believe you’re still having to deal with those mosquitos. Although I guess it’s good at least you aren’t the only ones dealing with them in a way. I hope you’re feeling better at least. Here’s hoping it’s a better week!

I can’t believe we’re still dealing with the mosquitos either, especially as past years we never had as many of them. At least it makes sense knowing we’re not the only ones who are dealing with them.
The mosquitos would be a problem for me too. I hate bugs. I hope this week is better.
