The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
I am still feeling burned out and struggling to really make the space in my schedule that I need. And then I overdo it on a day and am so exhausted the next day which makes me feel bad, then when I have a bit of energy again I overdo it and that’s how much of this week went. The trouble is that I actually want to do things and have some exciting projects work wise I want to work on, but I just don’t have enough energy for it all. It’s super frustrating.
Work wise I worked on formatting a book for an author, it went pretty smoothly and again reminded me of how much I enjoy book formatting. Hopefully next year I can get more formatting clients as I really enjoy the formatting. I did some replying to emails, checked tour stops and did some work for one of the author I do assistant work for.

In 2024 I am joining the COYER challenge again. I didn’t join this year, but I want to try and join in again in 2024. You can find more information about the challenge here.

I have a friend who’s dealing with a burnout as well and she has the exact same struggle of wanting to do things and not being able to. She once explained it to me as if she’s always “borrowing energy from tomorrow” which means she’s always running on a deficit. I hope you can be gentle with yourself as well! I hope you have a lovely week 🙂

Sorry to hear about your friend. The struggle of wanting to do things and not being able to is very tough. Your friend described it well with the borrowing energy from tomorrow, that’s exactly how it feels like I am always running a deficit.
I love that the COYER challenge is focused on self-care just when you needed some. Burnout is tough. I went through it a couple of years ago and took a whole year off social media, and I still don’t feel fully recovered, although I’m feeling much better now than when I started. Take care of yourself. I hope you have a nice restful week this week.

The theme of self care and unwinding sure was perfect timing. Sorry to hear you went through burnout a few years ago, it’s so tough. Glad to hear you’re doing better now even though you’re not fully recovered yet.
Its tough deciding what you can handle. Hopefully, you’ll pick up more formatting work now that you enjoy. Yay, for returning to COYER.
I really struggle with knowing what I can handle and what it too much and sometimes things just need to be done regardless. I hope I can get more formatting work next year :). I look forward to joining Coyer again in 2024.
I hope you start feeling better.

Thanks! I hope so too.
I always want to do more than I have time or energy to manage. I also got Floating Hotel.

It’s frustrating when you want to do more than you have time or energy for. I sadly DNF’d Floating Hotel, the style didn’t work for me.
Hope you find that balance between too much and what is just right and have a great week!
Thanks! I hope I can figure out that right balance.
