sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was an okay week. The end of the month is always a bit busier with work and I got a lot done this week. My boyfriend’s reintegration with his job due to his burnout is still not going too smoothly, but I bought some yummy pastries to cheer us up. I also baked some cinnamon swirl cookies which turned out great. One of the drawers in our kitchen broke so we’re hoping to get that fixed soon. We had another warm day this week, but luckily also some rain and cooler days.

Work wise it was a solid week. I finished up proof listening to an audiobook for one of my authors and finished some other end of month tasks and wrapped up al the work for my authors for this month. I am working on a new blog tour that I hope to put live next week.

Here’s a picture of the cinnamon swirl cookies I baked. They were really good and looked so fun. They’re a bit like cinnamon rolls, but then the cookie version.

What did I read this week?

Strangled SkeinThe Alien's ZookeeperTangled Truths

Strangled Skein was another great read in this series. It kept my attention with lots of mysteries and secrets coming to light and I enjoyed seeing how it al played out.
The Alien’s Zookeeper was a fun and light ff romance book and I had a lot of fun reading this one. There are animals that play a role as well and I liked getting to know more about the aliens. I thought the romance was well done and their connection was obvious even with the way it developed fast.
Tangled Truths was another good one in this series. There’s plenty going on and I liked seeing how Val dealt with it all. Still not fully sure about the romance, but there were some great scenes with them in this book.

This week I blogged about:

Review: A Hint of Mischief by Daryl Wood Gerber
Review: One Simple Wish by Kay Correll

  1. My mouth is watering at the thought of cinnamon roll type cookies. πŸ™‚ Glad you had a good productive month with work. Bummer about the drawer. It seems the fix-it list never ends. πŸ™‚ I’m hoping in the long run that your boyfriend is able to snag a job he loves and treats him well.
Glad your three reads this week were all good ones.

Have a good week and start to July, Lola!

    • The cinnamon swirl cookies were really food. The drawer should get fixed next week hopefully. It sure feels that way with the fix-it list never ending. I really hope my boyfriend can find a good job that treats him well.
