The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This week wasn’t as good unfortunately. My boyfriend has a burnout and has been home the past few weeks, but this week he had to start working again and he’s still very tired. So we had to deal with him going back to work and being tired every day after work, luckily he only has to work a few hours per day for now. Then I managed to eat something that was 4 months overdue. I am not sure how I managed that as I always check dates, but this was something from the freezer and I didn’t think about it. Then once I had eaten it, I spotted the date on the package and realized it was 4 months past the due date. I actually felt pretty okay that day, till the next day when I felt nauseous and my stomach hurt most of the day. So that wasn’t fun.
After that we had this really warm day that made me feel tired and low on energy. I also managed to hurt my shoulder somehow, which has been hurting ever since. Then I got a headache as well. On top of all that I received an email from one of the authors I do assistant work that she has to reduce my hours, which made me sad as I like the work I do for her and it will mean I have to look for new work to fill that gap and summer is usually a less busy time for work already. Luckily she agreed to reduce it steps, so I have next month to find more work.
Besides that the rest of my work went pretty alright. My productivity did go down later in the week unfortunately. I made good progress with the audio proof listening I am doing and am almost finished with that. I did some other tasks on top of the usual weekly assistant work. I had two tours that ran this week. I am hoping to get some new tour requests soon as it’s been a bit quiet with those the last few weeks.
What did I read this week?
Must Love Dogs and Magic was a short paranormal romance read, unfortunately it was too short for me to really feel the romance or get into the story, but I liked the set up.
After that I read Emerald Mage whcih was another great read int hat series. This series is fast paced and there’s always something going on. There’s some plot progression, a big mission as well as new characters and some character plot lines.
I also really enjoyed Maverick Loves Londyn it was a sweet romance book with a Romeo and Juliet vibe. Two opposite characters with friend groups who hate each other. despite that they fall in love and I could really feel their romance. There’s a lot going on and tensions that build throughout the book and I was eager to see how it all got resolved. A great first book in this series.

The heat here has really zapped my energy too! I hope you both feel better this week!
Sorry to hear the heat zapped your energy too :(.
I felt bad for you with the stomach troubles on top of the pain and the loss of work. All came at once. Hopefully you’ll pick up an author by next month and things will settle at work for your boyfriend.
Your Jordan Ford read does sound good.
Wishing you a good week, Lola!
It really happened all at once, which wasn’t fun. I got one of my other authors who has a bit more work for me, so that will cover the next few months at least. I enjoyed the Jordan Ford book a lot.
I’m so sorry – rough week! It seems like when things hit they all hit together. I hope this week will be much better! Hugs!

I am not a fan of the heat, hopefully it stays a bit cooler now.
