sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was a pretty decent week. I got another big work task wrapped up and slowly work is returning to a bit more of the normal busy pace instead of the way too busy pace, which is good. Now let’s hope work keeps going at this steady pace and not get too quiet. I had a bad headache at the end of the week which put a bit of a damper on my days and I didn’t get as much done on those days as I had hoped.

It was a solid week work wise. I finished up the audiobook I was prooflistening to. I worked on some new tours and put a new sign up post live for a contemporary romance book. I am still working on the sign up post for another tour that I hope to have live early next week. There was a new tour that got booked as well. I did the usual assistant work and tour work as well.

What did I read this week?

Her Band of RakesRites and KnightsA Teaspoon of Desire

Her Band of Rakes was a solid historical romance with a polyamory relationship. I had fun reading this one and liked the characters.
Due to sporadic reading I struggled a bit to get into Rites and Knight. I also thought the mystery focused a bit too much on proving Ambrose was innocent rather than investigating who had done it, but it did make more sense at the end. Amy was an awesome character as usual and I liked seeing the romance develop.
A Teaspoon of Desire was a great read and the perfect fit for my current reading mood. This foodie themed MM romance was so fun. I liked reading about the baking competition and the romance and I liked how both elements are very prominent and don’t overshadow the other.

This week I blogged about:

Review: Murder at the Lobstah Shack by Maddie Day
Review: Up to no Gouda by Linda Reilly

  1. Headaches are the worst. My allergies are currently kicking my butt and is making my head hurt because of my nose. I miss winter already 😉
Glad you are getting busy, I just noticed I need to give you a different ad for the blog since that is an old one. I plan to make more when I have time to sit and plan them out so I will let you know.

I hope you have an awesome week, Lola! Happy Reading! xx

    • Sorry to hear about your allergies, that’s definitely a downside of the warmer weather.

Just send me a new ad and I’ll swap it out then 🙂

  2. Hi there Lola!

So glad to hear you have so much stability in your work at the moment. May it just grow more and more!

Thanks for visiting us, I hope you will have an awesome week ahead!

    • The foodie romance was great! I really enjoyed it. And I hope the work load stays at this point for a bit, steady, but not too busy.

  3. My week was not too bad. We were on vacation to Disney World and that was fun. But it’s Monday morning and now I have Covid, which I suppose was inevitable since I went to Florida. Sigh. I hope your week is better than mine!
