sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was a pretty normal week, which I am grateful for as I could really use one of those. Still had a few moments that didn’t go smoothly and a few moment where I felt off, but mostly it was a pretty solid and productive week. I got a lot of work done and also some non-work things.

Our freezer had been accumulating a lot of ice, so I cleaned and defrosted that this week. It’s always one of those tasks I don’t want to do, but it’s so nice when it’s done. And now there was space for some extra ice cream ;). We also have another leaking sink, it’s another sink and another problem than last time, but really how does this happen twice in one month. It should be fixed next week.

Work wise I had a good week. I had multiple tours running and starting this week. As well as anew sign up post I put live for a bookstagram blitz. I also did some assistant work for my authors, wrapped up last month’s assistant work and made a start with this month’s work. I got some new tour work too and am working on some tours that I hope to put live next week.

What did I read this week?

Spell WielderInterstellar AngelSeer Today, Gone Tomorrow

I had a bit of a mixed reading week. It started off good with Spell Wielder, which I really enjoyed. This series combines paranormal elements with mysteries and it’s a lot of fun. I also enjoyed seeing Cassie’s relationschip with her three guys and how things progress. Interstellar Angel was unfortunately a DNF. I couldn’t get into this one, the writing style didn’t work for me and I didn’t really like any of the characters. Too bad as I was in the mood for a sci-fi romance book. Then I read Seer Today, Gone Tomorrow, which was an okay read, but unfortunately I didn’t enjoy it as much as the earlier books in the series. I didn’t like the mystery as much, some things felt off/ forced and I found the bunny annoying. I did enjoy seeing how the overarching series mystery developed. Then I started another Pets in Space 6 story and abandoned that halfway through when my copy of The Sorcerer’s Wife arrived, I am still reading that one and I love it!

    • The leak has been fixed with a new faucet and now it’s working perfect again. It is so nice to have the freezer defrosted, it’s not a fun chore, but so nice when done. I had a great 5 star read this week, so that was awesome 🙂

    • Glad to hear your toilet was an easy fix. The sink was an easy fix too. My freezer really needed the defrosting, it looks so much better now and it was good timing with the cold weather. I usually end up doing it in the middle of summer, so this is better timing for sure.
