sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was a pretty decent week, it had some good things and some not so good things. My boyfriend has been getting things ready for his new job. It turns out there’s a course he has to do in only 2 weeks else he won’t get the job, so he’s hard at work at that at the moment. Fingers crossed he can finish that in time and start the job early September as planned.

We had to move an appointment this week as my boyfriend was feeling nauseous. Due to corona we decided not to risk it, but he’s feeling fine now and no other symptoms. I am glad he’s doing better now and we’ll reschedule the appointment. I am still having some troubles with my sites going offline now and then, usually only for 10 minutes or so, but it’s annoying. Maybe I can find some time next week to look into it.

It was a good week for work. Two tours I organized are taking place this week. And the best news is that some new tours got booked that I am working on now and I am planning to have those live next week. I also did my usual assistant work. And I published a new blog post for authors on my site. This one is about how to encourage reviewers to review on other sites.

What did I read this week?

Counted Corpse

I only finished one book this week, but it was a really good one. Counted Corpse is the fourth book in this cozie series and I really enjoyed this one. I like the daily life stuff as well as the mystery. The way this mystery was tied in with the past was interesting. Definitely one of my favorite cozy mystery series.

My current reads
As I was in the mood for a fantasy book I picked up Silver Dawn Afire. I am really enjoying this one so far, it’s exactly the type of book I was in the mood for and I like the characters or find them interesting. As I was feeling a bit stressed this week I decided to go for the next book in a series I love, so I picked up Victim in the Valley. This series is amazing and I really like the main character Vangie, she feels so real. This book has so much going on and all these things have a big impact on Vangie. I can’t wait to read more. I also continues my re-read of the Flyght series, this time in audio and started High Flyght. This one is off to a good start and I am so glad I decided to re-read this series. I am also reading two non-fiction books, both are great so far.

  1. Hi there Lola! Sounds like your week was filled with mixed emotions! Thank heavens for great books. They always bring comfort.

I just had a look at Bly. I loved The turn of the screw. Let me take a look tomorrow again and I will let you know if I will sign up for the blog tour.

Have a good luck and I hope your boyfriend gets to finish his course!

    • Especially in these stressful and busy weeks I’ve been so happy for great books.

Thanks for your help with my tours and checking them out. I really appreciate it 🙂

    • Thank you! I am happy for all the tour work, but still haven’t got the time to look into those glitches, but they happened less this week somehow.

    • We even did one of those self tests to double check her didn’t have covid and that was negative as well. I am glad he doesn’t have covid.

That’s awesome news to hear that book 4 should be done soon :). I am having so much fun re-reading this series. Especially in this busy period it’s so nice to just relax with a story I know I’ll enjoy.
