The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This week it as warm here. The past few months we’ve had relatively cooler weather and then suddenly this week it felt like we were in the middle of summer. It was jarring and hard to adjust to as it was quite the temperature spike. It was a bit too warm for my taste. Saturday was a bit cooler, so that was nice and we could cool down the house a bit.
Besides that it was a pretty normal week. I got a good amount of work done. On Monday I wrapped up all the assistant work for May and then on Tuesday I started with this month’s assistant work. On Lola’s Blog Tours I put live a new cover reveal. I haven’t organized one of those in a while, so I am quite excited for this one. A tour I organized started late this week and I did the usual email replying and sign ups checking work as well.
I video chatted with my sister this week, which was fun. She got a new job and is moving to a new house in a few months, so she told me all about that. It was nice to catch up with her.
What did I read this week?
I finished Hellbound Guilds & Other Misdirections and Catching a Wizard which both a 4 star rating, as well as two non-fiction books as well.

– Review: Of Kindness and Kilowatts by Susan Kaye Quinn
– Fronds and Enemies by H.Y. Hanna
– Review: Hellbound Guilds & Other Misdirections by Annette Marie and Rob Jacobsen

Summer is here now also. It means more hot and humid plus some late day thunderstorms, which we need the rain. I love Annette Marie books!

I think we could use some rain here too by now after some weeks without any. It’s often very humid here, but the last few weeks had lower humidity than usual luckily. I really enjoyed the new Annette Marie, I hope you do too!
That jump in temps was how our summer came this year, too. Whew! I am now adjusted enough to sleep better. 🙂 Yay for a vid with your sister and her good news and glad you wrapped up May’s tasks and have some started for June. Looks like this was a good reading week with the four-stars.
Enjoy your week, Lola!

The jump in temperatures was really weird this year. It will take me a few more weeks to adjust probably. It was fun to catch up with my sister :).
It’s getting quite hot here, as well, after a cooler-than-usual spring (especially May.) I prefer the cooler temperatures, but the forecast is for a hotter and probably dryer summer this year… though “dryer” is a relative term for Virginia, where it’s usually extremely humid all summer.
Annette Marie’s books look like so much fun. I really need to start reading them.

It was the same here, we had a cooler than usual spring and now suddenly a big jump in temperature. I also prefer the cooler temperatures. I like sunny days, but it doesn’t have to be so warm for me.
I really like Annette Marie’s books, they’re really good.
Yeah I think the weather’s been doing that all over, jumping in temps unexpectedly. I like warm weather, so for me that’s a positive. Sounds like you had pretty good week. Yay for the video chat with your sister and all her good news! Hope you have another good week.

It’s so weird how the weather went from cooler than usual to warmer than usual in the span of a day. I don’t mind when it’s a bit warmer, but I don’t like the really warm days. It was great to chat with my sister and hear all her good news.
Summer is here too. It was 107F/41C this week. Too hot for me to go outside. But this next week should be a little cooler.

That’s way too hot. I am glad it usually doesn’t get that warm here, but it’s still too hot for my taste. I hope it gets a bit cooler where you live.
I got really hot here after it being exceptionally cold for about a week. It was also jarring, but I’ll take heat over cold any day! I am just not a person that does well in the cold.

I am glad to hear you’re enjoying the heat. I don’t like it when it’s cold and I don’t like it when it’s warm. I do best when it’s somewhere in between. I do like the sunny days, but I can’t stand when it’s so warm. I hope the temperatures go down a bit here soon, but next week is supposed to get even warmer.
