The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This week started off not so good with a dentist visit, but it got better as the week progressed. I had to visit the dentist again this week for a caries that needed fixing and filling. And while I was there we discussed what had to happen next to the tooth where a piece broke off earlier this month as it only has a temporary solution now. Seems it needs a crown as else it might break again, so that will happen later this year. Not looking forward to that :(. I hate going to the dentist.
Despite that bad start to the week, once the dentist visit was over the week slowly turned better. I made the most out of the rest of the week. Although I had to move some tasks to future days/ weeks as I couldn’t get around to them. I prioritized getting some new sign up posts live on Lola’s Blog Tours and put live 3 new tours: a middle grade fantasy tour, a YA/ NA paranormal mystery tour and a YA scifi fantasy tour.
Besides that I worked on another event that will go live next week, sent out a media kit and did the usual sign ups checking and email replying. I got some hours of assistant work done as well.
It was a good reading week this week and I got multiple books read. I also won some books in a giveaway, which made me happy. And the weather is turning a bit warmer and sunnier again, which is a nice change after the rain we had so far.
Food Corner
I made these oat cookies with nutmeg, cinnamon and pecans this week. As well as some peanut butter frosting for on top of them and they turned out great.

I’m glad to hear the week improved as you went along. We’re going from HOT to cooler and rainier this week. We need the rain though. Those cookies look yummy!

It is nice to have some rain as it’s good for the plants as such.
I’m not a fan of dental visits, either, but I’m glad your cavity and broken tooth are getting repaired. Sounds like you have a nice pile of work projects going on. I’ve not had oat cookies, but I love all those ingredients so that sounds delicious. Way to go winning a stack of books. I like Kaje Harper’s books though I haven’t read them for a few years.
Have a great week, Lola!

Glad to hear you enjoyed some of Kaje Harper’s books, I look forward to reading them. It was nice to win some books.
I am glad work is going well lately and the cookies were great.
I don’t like going to the dentist either, I don’t think anyone does. The cookies look really good.

Some people don’t seem to mind going to the dentist as much, I definitely am not one of those as I hate going there. The cookies were really good.
I’m not a fan of the dentist either!
I love the look of your cookies 🙂
Hope you have a nice weekend!

I was not happy that I had to go to the dentist and that more visits are in the future :(. The cookies were great!
Mmm, cookies. But, yuck, I hate the dentist. I always get freaked out before I go there. I hope you have a great week.

Same here, I always get freaked out before I have to go to the dentist. I am not happy I have to go back another two times :(.
Sorry about the dentist. That is never fun, BUT you’re being good about going and getting it done. That’s important! Those cookies look so good. They have all my favorite things in them!

I made the mistake once of not going to the dentist several years. I ended up with 7 cavities at once, that was horrible and since then I always make the next appointment right after the previous one so it’s harder to back out and not go.
The oat cookies are so good!
Ugh the dentist is never fun and so expensive, to add insult to injury (although maybe not in your country?). I’m glad the week improved! Looks like you enjoyed the series by Laura Greenwood? – I see you bought a bunch more. I read one of her books and it was okay, but I wanted to find a series I really enjoy, since we know her from blogging.
Have a great week!

Yes the dentist is definitely pricey here as well unfortunately :(.
It took me a long time to finally check out one of her books, I started with Spell Caster and Spell Caster, which are awesome. And now I was in the academy mood I pick up this series, I actually grabbed the box set as that was cheaper than the individual books hence why I got them all. I quite like her books so far, especially when I am in the mood for some short fast paced reads.
