sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This week didn’t go as smoothly. I’ve been dealing with shoulder pain and/ or headache on and off for the whole week and it’s just tiring being in pain so much. I’ve been taking a lot of painkillers, but those only help for a limited time. I still got things done, but it all took more effort than normally.

I mentioned last week our toaster died and we ordered a new one, well somehow it came back to live and is working like usual again, no clue what happened. We’re keeping the new one we ordered for when this one stops working. At least we have a new one on hand already.

Where last week we had winter weather now it almost feels like spring is here already. It been a bit jarring having such warm weather while a week ago it was freezing, but it’s also kinda nice to have some warmer weather.

Work related I got most of the usual things done, a few extra things I had hoped to do this week I didn’t get around to sadly. There was a tour I organized that took place this week. I also did some hours of assistant work and the usual replying to emails and such. Two new tours got booked, but I haven’t heard back yet, so couldn’t work on those yet. I also have a review opportunity that’s almost ready to go live, but still waiting on something for that as well. I hope I get some new tours soon to work on for future months. I have some plans for a blog posts for authors thing I hope to launch soon and am getting a few more pieces ready before I launch that.

I didn’t make as much this week. I did a variety on my vanilla chocolate chip cookies with white and milk chocolate chips instead of milk chocolate only, which turned out great. I didn’t take a picture.

And I made some vegan kaiserschmarrn which was delicious.

  1. Well it’s good you are all set for toast! I hope next week will be smoother with less pain. I’m learning I need some movement to improve but not too much or the wrong kind of movement. I seem to be excellent at finding the wrong kind of movements. I hope it’s a better week and Happy reading!

    • Exactly, can’t do without toast :). It’s so hard to deal with pain issues, like you said some movement is good, but it has to be mild and not too much and the right kind. I also seem to excel at finding the wrong movements, I found some new exercises that seem pretty mild that I am giving a try now.

  2. I hate that you are in pain. It trumps everything when you are feeling like that. I hope that you get a break from it soon.
The weather here has gone from freezing to almost spring too. It’s been nice to get out in the garden a bit.
I hope you have a good week.

    • It’s really hard to work or have fun when you’re in pain. Luckily this week was a lot better.

I also enjoyed the warmer weather and sunshine 🙂

  3. How frustrating that the pain is back again just not only in your back. Hopefully some stretches and soothing heat/ice packs might relieve that somewhat.
Glad to see you’re getting plenty of work to keep you busy and had some delicious baking. I made some brownies since I was craving chocolate so much.
Yay for three four stars this week and hopefully your new reads will be just as good.

    Have a good week, Lola!

    • I struggle frequently with shoulder pain, but it had been going well for a while now, so it was extra frustrating to have to deal with it again the whole week. I’ll have to see if I can find some soothing heat for it somehow as that does sound like something that might help.

Brownies sound great! Definitely a good pick if you’re in the mood for chocolate. I just made some chocolate chip cookies.
