It’s Alvaro’s last year of college and he’s on track to graduate at the top of his class. He’s working toward a degree in a field he loves and even managed to score one of the coveted singles in the nicest upperclassmen dorm. There’s only one problem. Daniel. The guy whose single is attached to the other side of the connecting bathroom. The mess Alvaro could maybe ignore. The wet towels, balled up socks, and bottles and bottles of bubble bath. It’s the singing he can’t take. Every night it’s the same. Daniel takes a bubble bath and murders another of Alvaro’s favorite songs. One night, Alvaro stomps into the bathroom, ready to halt the mangling of another musical memory. But his feet fly up and his head smacks down. Daniel hops to the rescue in all his wet, bubble-covered glory, and a relationship begins that will continue to set Alvaro reeling.
Until now, Alvaro’s life has been heading in the right direction. But can an attraction this strong–even to a guy who doesn’t organize his socks–be all wrong?
Wrong Direction is a sweet and sexy novella with lots of clumsy mishaps, cute dates, and deep thoughts about life’s multiple directions.
My Review
Wrong Direction was a fun and cute romantic read. I was looking for a fun short read and this one definitely hit the spot. The first few chapters were probably my favorite, the set-up was just so funny with these two guys who share a bathroom and they keep bumping into one another there. After that it turns into a friends with benefits type of story that slowly maybe turns into more.
I liked Alvaro and Daniel and how these two were opposites in some ways and on the same line when it came to other things. I like how their personalities shone through even in such a shorter read. I also like how we got a feel for their worries and their dreams. Although the book was a bit too short to really dig deep into all the topics, I would’ve liked a bit more and I hope the author might write a sequel one day.
This book was quite heavy on the sex, so if you’re looking for a short sexy read this one will be great. It could’ve done with a bit less sex for me or maybe that’s due to my mood. Most of the scenes are tastefully done, but I mostly liked the sweet touches and how we see these two slowly grow to care about one another.
To summarize: this is a short fun read with plenty of sex and romance. I liked getting to know these two characters and I liked how we got a feel for their personalities. there’s plenty of sexy times in this book as well as some sweet romantic scenes. It was a bit too short to really dig deep into some of the topics, but overall I had fun reading this one. The first chapter really sets the tone for the story and was a great start!
Novellas can be tough with romances, because you usually get too much of one aspect. It does sound like a cute story though!

I agree novellas can be tough with romances, but overall it still was a cute story.
Sounds like one for when I’m in the mood for light and quick reading. Funny about the bathroom.
