It’s Spring Break, a week of carefree fun, but for the Ryder Bay crew, it’s anything but…

Can Harley find the courage to tell Aidan the truth about why she refuses to go to prom with him?

Will Savannah’s decision not to go to college cause a rift in her family…and with Griffin?

Skylar wants to move across the country, but how can she face leaving Jed?

And where will Jace end up for his senior year of high school? His mother wants him on the East Coast, while Lettie’s silently begging him to stay with her.

As each member of this makeshift family tries to decide what their future holds, they must also combat a menace who is out to destroy their vacation. Can they catch the culprit before things go too far?

If you’re a fan of sweet romance, relatable characters and an ending that will make you smile, then you’ll definitely want to check out this final book in the Ryder Bay series.

My Review

I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

After I finished Wipe Out I dove straight into White Water. White Water is the epilogue for the whole series and I loved it. I think this is the first time I read an epilogue like this, but I wish more authors would do this as it was so much fun. And a great way to say goodbye to an awesome series.

White Water has 8 different perspectives in one book, so we get another glimpse of all of the 8 main characters we met throughout the series. It’s at once an epilogue and a final thing each of these couples have to overcome. It’s also the perfect wrap in one way, getting to spend some time with each of these characters again and having the last few open plot points wrapped up. Then there is someone who seems intent on making their spring break a difficult one, which ads a hint of mystery, although I did manage to guess who was behind it just before the reveal.

White Water isn’t a full length novel, but it still felt like a good sized novella. It doesn’t feel rushed at all. It felt like a real treat to fans of the series. There was just something so fun about getting all 8 of their perspectives in one book and getting all their stories wrapped up. And there was still quite a bit of story in this one. It also was fun to see how they all interact with each other.

each couple and character has one more things they have to deal with in this book. Often this had to do with what to do next. It’s about secrets, but also about opening up. I like how it also shows there are different paths and I liked getting that glimpse of what these characters are planning next for their life. It was great to see how the plot line with Hayes got resolved and Jace make a choice where to stay. Harley is keeping a secret from Aidan which they struggle with and when it gets resolved it was just so sweet to see how Aidan is there for her. There’s quite the twist when it comes to Skylar’s future and I thought it made perfect sense. I liked how Savannah want to take an unconventional road and how she knows what she wants. It also was fun to see them all as a couple and how they are handling things together.

Most of all this novella was just a lot of fun. I really enjoyed reading it and the author did an awesome job fitting all 8 perspectives in one book and never making it confusing. And as each of their perspectives was just as interesting as the rest I didn’t mind the chapter switches. It also was fun to see everyone again in this book as not everyone has as big a role in the last book. There are also some questions left unanswered in the main books that get answered here, which was great.

To summarize: I can’t recommend this epilogue novella enough for fans of this series. It’s the perfect wrap up for the series with all 8 main characters their perspectives in one book, where the last open plot threads are wrapped up and each couple deals with one more hurdle to overcome. There is a bit of mystery as well about someone who seems intent on hurting them. I had a lot of fun reading this one and I really liked the idea of doing an series epilogue like this with a novella where you get to read about all the characters. I enjoyed seeing how the characters dealt with things in this book and seeing everyone as a couple as well as how they interacted as a group of friends. I really had a fun time with this series and I am a bit sad it ended, but also eager for Jordan Ford’s next series as it sounds awesome!

  1. That is very cool! I’ve only read one other book series where an epilogue book wrapped it up (Nalini Singh did it for the first ‘season’ of her Psy-Changelings series). You’re right about how fun it is to get such a book. It’s great just to be able to relax and catch up with all the couples.

    • It does sound like a lot, but it worked well here. It was a lot of fun to get all their perspectives in one book and have this book to wrap up the whole series.
