An alliance with Grower’s Cove is exactly what Jasmine needs, but she doesn’t expect to lose her heart in the process.Jasmine has one goal in mind when it comes to the visiting dryads, and that’s to secure an alliance that will bring tea to Purple Oak. What she doesn’t plan for, is to fall for the charming head of the delegation.
The last thing that Ryburn wants is to leave Grower’s Cove and his oak tree behind, but with the pressure on to secure an alliance for his settlement, it seems that he has no choice. As he discovers more about Purple Oak, he realises that maybe he could be happy somewhere else after all.
Can the two of them form more than just an alliance?

The Tea Witch’s Treaty is a cozy fantasy romance with an alliance forming m/f romance, only one tent, unusual magic, a pinch of steam, and a happy ever after.
My Review
I received a free copy from the authors and voluntarily reviewed it.
The Tea Witch’s Treaty is the second book in the Purple Oak Oasis series. This is a reworked series and this is the first book that was also in the original series, so I was quite curious to find out how much had changed and whether I would enjoy this book.
After reading book 1,5 I feel like I am fully established in this fantasy world and the reworked series and I wonder if this book would disrupt that as this couple had their story in the original series. I am glad to say it didn’t, while it features the same couple and the main set up for their romance with the treaty, the whole book is completely different. I don’t think there’s anything besides the basic set up and characters that is leftover from the original series. So it mostly read as a new book and I enjoyed reading this story.
I liked reading about Jasmine and Ryburn. They dryads from Grower’s Cove are visiting to establish a trade agreement with Purple Oak Oasis and Jasmine is feeling the pressure as she’s handling a lot of it and is the head of the Purple Oak delegation. She ends up falling for Ryburn the head of the Grower’s Cove. They don’t want to give in to their feelings as the trade agreement is so important, but they grow closer and end up exploring their feelings after all.
This is a sweet romance with a bit of steam toward the end. There is very little drama, although there is a bit of a confict as they have to manage their growing feelings, while not letting it disrupt the trade agreement. I would’ve liked a bit more time for them to get to know each other after the trade agreement was in place as now they never could fully give in to their feelings until after that and that last chapter was a nice one. I also wish there had been an epilogue of some sort as I would’ve liked to see what is next for them and how their romance progresses, but hopefully we get to see more of them in future books.
I liked seeing a bit more of the world and visiting Grower’s Cove in this book. It also was fun to see the couple from book 1 make some appearances and seeing Brew interact with Jasmine who is his sister. It’s a fun cozy fantasy series so far and I look forward to the next book.
To summarize: I really enjoyed this book. While this is a reworked series and this book was in the original series as well, the story feels completely new and only shares the fact it has the same main character and plot set up. Jasmine has to get a trade agreement with grower’s Cove in place an ends up falling for the head of the delegation Ryburn. This was a sweet romance with a bit of steam later on and with no drama and only a bit of conflict. I enjoyed the story, reading about their growing romance and seeing more of the world.
I’m glad it worked out that the rework of the book was done in a way that you could appreciate both versions. Fun fantasy version of a work romance. 🙂
I am glad so much has changed and it was fun to read about these characters again and see how their romance is different now. It was indeed a fun fantasy version of a work romance :).
it sounds like a good one. Glad you enjoyed it.
It was a good one, I am reading the next book now 🙂
This whole reworking the series is just so fascinating to me! I’m glad you’re continuing to enjoy it as it goes along. Great review!

It sure is fascinating how they reworked the series, they kept the same characters and most of the magic system, but then the world is now a cozy fantasy one instead of a post-apocalyptic one. And the actual stories and romances are different too even if they feature the same characters as the old series like this book did and then there are new characters as well that weren’t in the original series. I am really excited to see what’s next.
