The Fiery Heart (Bloodlines #4)
by Richelle Mead

Blurb:
In The Indigo Spell, Sydney was torn between the Alchemist way of life and what her heart and gut were telling her to do. And in one breathtaking moment that Richelle Mead fans will never forget, she made a decision that shocked even her. . . .
But the struggle isn’t over for Sydney. As she navigates the aftermath of her life-changing decision, she still finds herself pulled in too many directions at once. Her sister Zoe has arrived, and while Sydney longs to grow closer to her, there’s still so much she must keep secret. Working with Marcus has changed the way she views the Alchemists, and Sydney must tread a careful path as she harnesses her profound magical ability to undermine the way of life she was raised to defend. Consumed by passion and vengeance, Sydney struggles to keep her secret life under wraps as the threat of exposure—and re-education—looms larger than ever.

Pulses will race throughout this thrilling fourth installment in the New York Times bestselling Bloodlines series, where no secret is safe.

My Review:
The Fiery Heart is another enjoyable book in this series. A solid story and it has everything I have come to expect from this series, romance, action and a great story. I really like Richelle her writing style and am always looking forward to the next book. While it’s enjoyable, there where also a few predictable moments. There where some great developments in this book and I liked the direction the story took. I did predict the cliffhanger in which this book would end though, it didn’t bother me that much because while Richelle put her character through a lot in the end it all works out.

I read this book in a few days and was curious what would happen next. The story didn’t disapoint and I really enjoyed it. If you enjoy this series so far you will also like this book. This series does get better with each book and I am looking forward to the next book. This book is told from both Sydney and Adrians perspective and I felt like this really helped to understand Adrian better. Now we are seeing things from his head and it really add something to the story. I like the romance in this series and I think Sydney and Adrian are great for each other and I liked being able to see both their perspectives.

The characters grow a bit more and I came to like them even more. I did like Sydney from the first book, but with each book I like her more. She doesn’t have physical strenght like Rose, her strenght mostly comes from inside. I really liked learning more about Adrian in this book, mostly due to also seeing his perspective now. It make it easier to understand him and he grows a lot in this book and has gone a long way from how he was before. I also really like the side character, because while the focus is on Sydney and Adrian the others also play an important part and have their own lives and developments. I also like the fact that important characters frm the Vampire Academy series still make comebacks in each book in this series.

To conclude: I really enjoyed this book, I liked the direction the story took and I think the point of view of Adrian really added something to this book. I really like the characters in this series and it’s awesome to see them grow with each book.

    • I am going to check out your review now :). And indeed I like the romance in this book and how it heated up! I really like Richelle her writing style and indeed her character act and interact really naturally.

    • This book made me like Adrian even more, it was great seeing his perspective. It certainly helped to understand him better, And I love how much Sydney has changed and developed, getting stronger each book.

You have a great Tuesday too!

    • Till which book have you read? I have to admit when we first met Adrian in the Vampire Academy series I didn’t like him at all, but in the Bloodlines series he really grew on me and seeing his perspective in this book was a great way to get to know him better and understand him.
