My Review
I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.
I continue to enjoy the series and this was another solid book in the series. Caitlin is almost ready to open the café, but runs into more troubles in this book. This book felt a bit less impactful than some of the others, but I still enjoyed it. A lot of the plot lines continue, but nothing gets fully resolved as that will be role of book 6.
I wish I had read this series as one long book as it’s a bit jarring to come back to this series after a bit and the book jumps right back in the middle. It really reads like one long book and I would recommend reading it like that if you can.
Caitlin is still struggling with what her future holds and the opening of the café is getting closer when she runs into more troubles. She also has almost figured out why Sandra left her the café, although part of this was quite obvious earlier, but she now gets the first hints of what this means. Then there is her romance with Greg which develops a bit more and I liked the few parts from his point of view. I also liked seeing her best friend find her way on the island and she makes for a fun side character and always there to help Caitlin.
To summarize: This was another solid book in this series. All the plot lines progress, but nothing gets resolves yet. This book felt a bit less impactful than some of the others, but there is still enough going on and I enjoyed it. Caitlin has to deal with some more troubles on her road to open the café and still isn’t sure what her future holds. I am eager to see how the last book wraps up the series. I would recommend reading this series as one long book if you can as that’s how it reads.
