My Review

I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

I continue to enjoy this series. It took some time to get back to it, but as soon as I picked this one up I quickly got pulled back into the story. This is a serial with shorter installments that tell one story and it kinda reads like one long book in shorter pieces. In this third book all the story and character plot lines progress and I had a great time seeing it all develop. The ending makes me eager to continue the series and I hope to pick up book 4 soon.

Caitlin and her best friend are settling into this island town more and are starting to feel more at home. Caitlin is still searching for the missing recipe book, but she did find Sandra’s diaries and there are some sections from it in this book and I enjoyed getting a glimpse into Sandra’s life and I have the feeling it will shed some light on why Caitlin inherited the cafe.

The romance between Caitlin and Greg is slow progressing as well and I felt like this book was an important one in her getting more understanding of Greg and growing to like him more. Greg for his part seems to grow fonder of Caitlin as well and I am eager to see how they grow closer. There are some great scenes involving the two of them. I also like seeing Caitlin’s best friend and Greg’s best friend romance play out in the background.

The book kept me reading and I look forward to seeing what happens next.

To summarize: I enjoyed this third book in the series. I liked seeing the story lines and character related plot lines progress. Caitlin and Greg grow a bit closer and there’s also a romance involving Caitlin’s best friend playing out in the background. I like seeing how the mystery progresses involving the missing recipe book as well as why Caitlin inherited. The way the book ends makes me eager to get to the next one.
