by Arizona Tape and Skye MacKinnon

My Rating: 4 stars

Genre: Science Fiction Romance
Age Category: Adult
Type of romance: FF

Blurb:
Rachel thought it couldn’t get worse than losing her farm. But when a hot stranger turns out to be an alien, her life is about to change forever.

Tamsia’s sisters both have human mates, but she can’t quite understand the appeal herself. Until she meets Rachel, the owner of an adorable yet intimidating Highland cow. Will Tamsia be able to persuade her to move to Kyven?

An out-of-this-world f/f alien romance with a headstrong human woman and an alien female used to getting what she wants. This is a standalone sapphic love story with a guaranteed happy end. If you love lesbian romance, cute animals, and humorous science fiction, this series will make you laugh, swoon, and wish you had your own fluffy Highland cow.

My Review

I was in the mood for a light and fun read and when deciding what to read this one caught my eye. I’ve been really enjoying this sweet science fiction romance series about humans and aliens who fall in love. And the animals that play a role in every book are fun to read about too.

This book is about Rachel and Tamsia. Tamsia is the oldest of the three alien siblings and has to go to earth to buy some cows, she remembers meeting Rachel who owns a farm during a party a while ago and goes there instead of the planned location. Rachel and her cousin run a farm with highland cows, but they might lose it all as they don’t make enough money and that’s when Tamsia offers to buy the animals.

This was another fun read. I liked how it took place partly on Earth and I enjoyed seeing how Tamsia experienced Earth. There are some fun scenes with things that get lost in translation and differences between the species that cause some funny mistakes. Then the later part takes place on Kyven and we get to see how Rachel and cousin settle there.

I liked the romance between Rachel and Tamsia. They have an instant connection and attraction and that grows the more time they spend together. I liked seeing them get to know each other and how they communicate. I thought they made for a great couple.

I also liked reading about all the farm animals, from the highland cows to the house cat, chickens and sheep. It also was fun to see more of the previous couples and how they’re doing now.

To summarize: This was another light and fun read with a sweet romance. This one was so fun to read and I liked seeing Tamsia and Rachel get to know each other and read about how they communicate. There are some funny moments with things getting lost in translation or differences between their species. I liked Tamsia and Rachel together and thought they made for a great couple. The animals this time around were all farm animals, I liked Hamish the highland cow and the other farm animals we got to read about. I look forward to the next book!
