My Review

Summer Break for Awkward Bears is a summer themed holiday story set in the Obscure Academy world. I really like this series and this was such a fun summer themed romantic read. There were some mentions of characters from other books in the series, but it can be easily read as a standalone.
I liked both Ila and Jacob, they meet at a party while they’re both on vacation at the beach and strike up a conversation. I liked these two and how they interacted together. I liked how they wanted to spend more time together and I liked seeing how their connection deepened. I liked how accepting Ila was of Jacob. They made for a great couple and I really liked reading about them. Their dates were so fun to read about and also had the perfect summer vacation vibe with the beach setting and the type of dates they went on, from the arcade to walks on the beach and beach food.
I also liked how them being shifters was incorporated in the story and how they got to go to a place where they got to shift.
To summarize: This was a sweet romance story set during summer vacation at the beach. I liked the connection between Ila and Jacob and how they interacted with each other. I liked how accepted Ila was of Jacob. Their dates were fun to read about and had a summer vacation vibe. I liked how them being shifters was part of the story and we get to see them shift forms. This is such a fun series and I can definitely recommend it!
Fun setting with the beach holiday and I love that she’s a polar bear shifter and understanding of his social struggles.
It was a fun summer-y read and I thought it was fun she’s a polar bear shifter who loves the beach and sea. It was awesome how understanding and accepting she was.
This sounds like my kind of book.
