Nick has two goals during the festive season, to make sure the children get their toys, and to share the Christmas cheer with those around him. He never expected to have his heart captured by the beautiful elf now working for him.

My Review

I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

Sleigh Rides with St. Nick was the book I was reading during a very stressful move. Luckily this book was easy to get into and was just the type of sweet easy read that was perfect to read during this time.

This was such a sweet romance. I liked reading about Ivy and how she falls for Nick. They meet at a party and then later Ivy realizes Nick is the new client she’s doing marketing work for, despite her contract forbidding romance they grow closer. These two were so sweet together and I liked reading about them and getting to know them better and seeing them open up to the other. The sleigh ride scene was great and I also liked the way the author gave Nick some backstory about why he gave out presents and how that came to be. I thought it was fun how St. Nick or Santa Claus is considered a god in this universe as that fit with the way gods works in this universe. I just wish the book was a bit longer as I would’ve liked a bit more and see their romance deepen. The epilogue was a nice addition.

There are a few mentions of other characters from previous books in the series, which was fun. This series has been so much fun so far. The books are light and easy to pick up with sweet romances with a bit of steam.

To summarize: I really enjoyed this book. It was the perfect read for during my stressful move as it’s easy to get into and has a sweet romance. I liked Ivy and Nick and seeing them fall for each other. I liked getting to know the characters and seeing them grow closer. Their romance was sweet with a bit of steam. I would’ve liked a few more scenes of seeing their romance deepen toward the end. The epilogue was great and showed a glimpse of their future.

    • I thought it was fun how St. Nick was the character in this one and the way the book gave him some backstory about how he became known for giving presents was fun too. I was really grateful to have some easy books like this to read during the move.
