My Review

This was a fun and sweet read about a witch whose birthday plans fall through and the Minotaur in her flat throwing her a birthday party instead. I wanted a light and fun read and this one fit my mood perfectly. I did think this book felt a bit shorter than some of the others and I wished there had been a bit more time to read about these characters as I liked them, but it felt like a completely story and I am glad I read it.

I liked both Sage and Castor. It’s clear they both have a crush on the other, but they haven’t managed to actually communicate this. I liked how this surprise party was the catalyst for those feelings to come out in the open. I also liked Sage’s friend Rhea and her snakes. I thought it was so sweet of Castor to organize a party for Sage so she still had a birthday celebration and I liked reading about it. They made for a cute couple and I liked seeing them find their way together.

To summarize: This is a sweet and fun read set in the Obscure Academy world. I liked both main characters and their romance. I did feel this one was a bit on the shorter side, but mostly I just wanted more time to read about these two as I liked them. They made for a cute couple and I liked seeing their romance begin. I thought Castor was really sweet to organize the surprise birthday party for Sage and I liked seeing things develop.
