Now all he has to do is convince her that they’re the real deal. And that her fated mate is also a god.

Mated To Fenrir is a Norse mythology-inspired paranormal m/f romance and part of the Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency world. It features a lonely wolf shifter looking for love, a cinnamon roll shifting god, dating agency hijinks, and a pinch of steam.

My Review

I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

I wanted to start Mated to Fenrir, but then in the first chapter three side characters got mentioned that I didn’t know, so I decided to read Swipe Right for Kuk, Baal and Horus first. After that I was ready to read Mated to Fenrir and it was nice to actually know who the side characters were and how they found their romance.

Mated to Fenrir features a fated mates romance between wolf shifter Delia and the wolf shifter god Fenrir. The two meet at a Jinx party and know they are fated mates, after a dance and a kiss they go their separate ways, not knowing whether they meet again. Ofcourse they meet again and their romance deepens.

I liked the take on fated mates this book had. Here the wolves can tell they are fated mates, but fated mates is only a who is right for them right now thing and they still have to work on themselves and their relationship to stay fated mates. I thought this was an interesting take on the trope and I liked how Delia and Fenrir wanted to make sure they could built something lasting and went out of their way to date first and get to know each other before going through with the mate bond.

I liked these two together. The fated mates thing gave a good reason for their attraction and pull to each other, but I liked how they both took this seriously and wanted to do some dates first before mating. I liked how this led them to go on some dates they thought would be un-sexy as a way to keep their hands off each other, as their wolves wanted them to seal the deal already. There were some fun scenes and I liked reading about them and getting to know each other more. I had hoped for more about what it’s like being wolf shifters, but there was a scene were they shift and run together, which was nice.

To summarize: This was another fun book in the Jinx series. I made sure to read some other books first so I knew who the side characters were that got mentioned in the first chapter. I liked Delia and Fenrir and seeing them grow closer. The fated mates thing was handled interestingly, with it being more of a right now good for each other thing and still requiring them to work on their relationship. I liked this take on the trope and I liked seeing Delia and Fenrir take it seriously and go on dates first before falling into bed and sealing the mate bond as they wanted to make sure they both wanted this and not just because of the fated mates thing. This was another easy and fun read in this series.
