My Review
After reading Baal I started this one right afterwards, curious to read Horus and Adelaide their story. They were both mentioned in Baal’s story and Horus owns a sanctuary so I was excited to read this book. I really enjoyed this book. It was fun to read about the Sanctuary and both Horus and Adelaide were very dedicated to caring for the animals. I liked the setting and seeing the two characters grow closer.
Adelaide got her dream job of being a vet and loves her job at the sanctuary. And she’s developing a crush on her boss Horus. I liked seeing these two grow closer and their meetings at the falcon pen ere so cute. I liked the two of them together and enjoyed reading about them and growing closer. There’s a bit of steam later on, but no drama. I liked seeing the two of them figure things out.
There are also some fun scenes set around the Sanctuary and I enjoyed reading about this setting and the animals they cared for at the sanctuary and learning a bit about it.
To summarize: I enjoyed this one. It was a quick and fun read. I liked the sanctuary setting and reading about the animals. I liked Horus and Adelaide’s dedication to the animals and the work they do. It was fun seeing the two of them grow closer and there are some sweet scenes involving the two of them.

I’d be a sucker for the animal sanctuary, too. Nice that it’s low on drama.
The animal sanctuary was such a fun setting for this one. I like how low on drama these books are.
Oh that sounds good. I am loving that cover too.
I really liked this one.
Wow, 32 books, have you read all 32? This does sound fun with both the romance and the animals.
This is a shared world series, so that’s why there are so many books. I have read only the books by this author in this series, this is the third one I think.
