The last thing Laila expects when she interviews Poseidon is a date.

When Laila is charged with doing a write-up of Poseidon’s restaurant, she never suspects that it could bring her face-to-face with a god. Or that she’ll enjoy spending time with him more than she expects.

Having channelled all of his anger into becoming the best chef possible, Poseidon knows a thing or two about food, so when he discovers that Laila thinks he could do better, he knows that he has to hear what she has to say.

Is their love of food enough to bond them?

Dining with Poseidon is a mythology-inspired paranormal m/f romance and part of the Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency series. It features a Greek sea god turned chef, and a stunning restaurant critic who catches his eye.

If you enjoy light-hearted paranormal romances featuring gods from different mythologies around the world, a hint of steam, and a happy ever after at the end of every book, start the Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency series today!

My Review

I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

I really like this series, they are fun and easy reads with little to no drama and this book was no exception. I had a great time reading about Poseidon and Laila as they fall in love. Both are foodies and I liked reading about the food they shared and hearing them talk about their passion for food. I really liked the food focus in this book.

Poseidon and Laila meet after she reviews his restaurant and they get talking about food. They grow closer and their romance deepens. I liked these two together. They have an obvious shared interest in their love of food and I like how that theme carries throughout their relationship. I liked reading about them spending time together and getting to know each other better. I especially liked the scenes with them cooking for each other or talking about food. There is a bit of steam later on as well as plenty of sweet scenes involving the two of them.

I liked the mythology aspect of this one and learning a bit about Poseidon and seeing how the author used the myths to influence his character. I also thought it was fun how he is a seahorse shifter.

This book has quite a few appearances and mentions of other characters in this series and it was fun to see some characters from previous books as well as get some hints for future books.

To summarize: This is such a fun series and I had a lot of fun reading this book. I liked reading about Poseidon and Laila, seeing how they meet and their relationship deepens. There are plenty of sweet scenes between them as well as some steam later on. I liked the strong food theme this book had with them both being passionate about food and that being one of the things they share. I especially liked the scenes were they cooked for each other and talked about food. There is some fun mythology in this one and I liked how Poseidon is a seahorse shifter. There are some appearances of characters from previous books and hints of future books.
