My Review
I really enjoyed this first book in Laura Greenwood’s new series. At first I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to try this series as I don’t read a lot of books with mythology. I was afraid I might get confused as I didn’t a lot about mythology, but in most cases there was enough info that I didn’t feel like I was missing much due to my lack of knowledge, just a few side characters that were only briefly mentioned. I quickly got into this book and soon I was invested in the story and excited to see how the two main characters would get together.
In this series gods and goddesses from religions all over the world exists and this book features a Celtic goddess and an Egyptian god. Just like other Laura Greenwood books this one was easy to read, had likable characters and a well written romance. Unlike most of Laura Greenwood’s books I’ve read so far, this one had a bit of steam, which I thought worked well and fit the story here.
I liked reading about Aine and Min as they meet while Aine is setting up a new dating agency. Min wants to help her out, but is also interested in connecting again and he’s interested in more than only physical connection this time. I liked reading about these two characters and getting to know them. As well as seeing these two fall in love and their romance deepen as they spend time together. I also liked reading about Jinx, the dating agency Aine is starting and there’s a bit about the god realm and the powers the gods and goddesses have. There are some interesting side characters as well and I look forward to future books in this series.
To summarize: This is a great start to this series! It was a lot of fun to read with great characters and a well written romance. I normally don’t read a lot of mythology based books, but I wanted to try this one as I like Laura Greenwood’s books. My lack of knowledge of mythology wasn’t a big issue luckily and I quickly got into this book. I liked reading about Aine and Min and seeing them grow closer and fall in love. This book has a bit of steam too, which I thought worked well. I liked reading about the characters and learning about the powers the gods and goddesses have as well as the god realm they can spend time in. I look forward to future books in this series.
Fun way to mix a modern romance with mythology.

I thought the blend of a modern setting and romance with the mythology was well done.
Oh nice. This sounds like fun.

It sure was a fun read 🙂
I do enjoy some mythology and am starting to get more into paranormal romance, adult level as opposed to the YA I usually read. This one does sound good. Great review!

I rarely read mythology, so this one was a bit out of my comfort zone and I am glad I enjoyed it as much. I am reading the second book now. I can definitely recommend it!
