Dating A Golden Goddess (Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency #2)
by Laura Greenwood
My Rating: 4 stars
Genre: Paranormal Romance/ Mythology
Age Category: Adult
Type of romance: m/f
Blurb:
Picture perfect is just how Aphrodite likes it, but what happens when someone unlocks the fun goddess inside?Aphrodite knows just how she likes things: perfect. Whether it’s for her business, her outfit, or her non-existent dating life, she likes things just so.
The last thing Damien expected was to find himself working alongside one of the most famous goddesses in the world, or that he’d find her so human.
The more time the two of them spend together, the more they fall for each other. Can the golden goddess of Greek mythology give in to love?

My Review
I received a free copy from the author through Booksprout and am voluntarily reviewing it.
I really enjoyed the first book in this series and was excited for this second book. I requested it as soon as I saw it pop up on Booksprout and picked it up to read not much later. Dating a Golden Goddess follows goddess Aphrodite and a witch Damien who fall in love.
I really liked this book. Damien and Aphrodite made for such a great couple and I liked seeing their relationship deepen. I liked seeing them spend time together and some of my favorite scenes where when they went out for gyros together as well as their first date to the fair. I also liked seeing them work together on events. I liked how normal Aphrodite seemed and due to the way the romance played out she actually felt pretty normal. There is some mention of her past, but that’s pretty much it. These two were so fun to read about and as usual for Laura Greenwood’s romance there was basically no drama or conflict, which I like.
While this book can easily be read as a standalone, I liked having read the first book first so I knew how the Jinx dating agency came to be. The dating agency plays a role in this story as well with Damien working for Jinx and Aphrodite getting hired to help with an event for Jinx. There are multiple appearances of Aine from book 1 and mentions of Min the other main character from book 1. There are also mentions and hints about future couples and I look forward to more books in this series.
To summarize: I really enjoyed Dating a Golden Goddess. I liked reading about Damien and Aphrodite, they made for a great couple. I liked seeing their relationship deepen and them getting to know each other more and spend more time together. Some of my favorite scenes were them getting gyros together and their first date at the fair. There are some mentions and appearances of characters from book 1 and also hints about future couples. I look forward to more books in this series!
Very nice review. I do so enjoy PNR and Mythology put together. I will have to check this sereis out. I’m glad you enjoyed the developing relationship between Damien and Aphrodite. And, thank you for saying that how you feel it can be a standalone, but also that reading the first book helps you understand the dating agency.
I actually don’t read a lot of mythology books, but I am really enjoying this series. The whole series is written that way so far, each book can be read as a standalone with a different couple, but I think at least reading book 1 first for the dating agency background is helpful.
I appreciate the reply back and your suggestion on the reading order. ^_^
I hope it helps in case you decide to pick up the series 🙂
I’m glad the series continues to be a good one for you. Love the goddess/witch character type romance.
I just finished book 3 in the series and that one was really good too. I am glad I decided to pick up this series.
This sounds good. I’m glad you liked it. I love the colors on the cover.
