Sometimes a bit of thievery is the only way to live.Rera does what she has to in order to survive, even when that means doing something that could damn her soul – robbing a tomb.
But nothing is as straightforward as it seems, and Rera’s conflicting feelings only deepen the further she gets involved with the London underworld.
Can she escape the eyes of the goddess of justice who seems to be watching her everywhere she goes?

All Chaos For Thieves is a prequel to the Scales Of Justices series, an urban fantasy series based on Egyptian mythology and set in the same world as The Apprentice Of Anubis.
If you love Egyptian mythology, alternative versions of the modern day, temple politics, slow-burn workplace romance, and a world where the gods are real, then the Scales Of Justice series is for you!
My Review
I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.
All Chaos for Thieves is the prequel to the Scales of Justice series. I was curious about this series and decided to start with the prequel. This story introduces main character Rera as well as some of her friends and family. She is a thief, but doesn’t really want to be.
I liked getting a glimpse of Rera and her life, but would’ve liked a bit more background and depth. I didn’t fully understand how she got to be a thief, although why she stayed one as she needs the money was obvious. It’s a short read and felt at times a bit repetitive as it keeps mentioned how much Rera doesn’t want to be a thief, but knows no way out of it. I am sure this is a set up for the first book and I look forward to seeing what happens next.
The world is an interesting one as the Egyptian empire never fell. While this prequel only shows some glimpses, it definitely was interesting and makes me excited to learn more.
To summarize: This prequel introduces the main character Rera and some of her friends and family. I liked getting a glimpse of the characters and the world, but would’ve liked a bit more about Rera’s past and why she is a thief and what will happen next. The world building is interesting and I look forward to seeing more of that. It did make me curious about book 1 and I look forward to reading that.
I hope the next book is as good or better than this one was.
I hope so too! I think it should release in the next few months somewhere, so I look forward to reading it.
Sometimes it seems prequels come AFTER the series has already started, and then I feel like things are left out? But this one was good enough that you want to keep going in the series it sounds like, even with the issues, so that’s good. Great review!

This one actually got released before the first book, I think it’s just not supposed to reveal some of the things I wanted answers to as that will be for the first book? It was interesting enough that I am definitely curious about the first book.
