My To-Be Read List is a meme hosted by Because Reading is Better Than Real Life where at the beginning of the month visitors can choose which book I’ll be reading this month. On the first saturday of a month the poll will be up, then on the second saturday of the month I’ll announce the book that won and on the last saturday of the month I’ll post my review of the book.
I am excited to announce that this month I will be reading Lion’s Share by Rachel Vincent! It started out as a tense battle with all 3 books getting votes then it was a tie between Lion’s Share and In for a Penny and then the tie got broken and Lion’s Share stayed on top. In total Lion’s Share got 9 votes (56.25%), Promises Under the Peach Tree got 2 votes (12.50%) and In for a Penny received 5 votes (31.25%). Come back on 28 March for my review of Lion’s Share!

Blurb:
Abby Wade has a dangerous secret. Two months ago, she disobeyed an order, but instead of kicking her out of the Pride, Jace offered her a job. Since then, she’s been battling a completely inappropriate crush on the young, hot Alpha. But when accepting his job offer seems like the only way to keep her skeletons safely in their closet, Abby doesn’t hesitate.
Jace Hammond has a big problem.
A rogue is slaughtering humans in his territory, and he must eliminate the threat before the entire shifter species is exposed. There could not be a worse time for Abby to accept a job he only offered as a boost to her confidence. Abby is smart, beautiful, and resilient—more than enough to distract any man from the mission. Unfortunately, she may just be the worst enforcer ever to hold the title.
As they hunt the killer, Abby’s secret becomes a threat to Jace’s authority and to her own life. But the real danger is the grip she has on his twice-shy heart.

I have been having this author on my watch for list for quite some time. And I do love a smart heroine.

Rachel Vincent is one of my favourite authors and I can’t wait to start this new series by her!
I really want to read Vincent’s Soul Screamer series, I hear it’s really cool! Enjoy 🙂
I really enjoyed the Soul Screamers series, although I was a bit disapointed with the last few books. The series has a very interesting premsie and I love this author her writing style.
Interesting premise, although not a complete fan of the cover. Haha. Enjoy reading, Lola! 🙂
It’s a spin off from one of her other series. So I am really excited, althoguh I agree with you that it isn’t the best cover it does fit the feel of the series.
I grabbed this one. I really enjoyed the Shifter series and hope I like this one.
I finished it a few days ago and while it wasn’t as good as the shifters series, I still enjoyed it.
Oh goodie! I can’t wait to see what you think, Lola! 🙂
I already finished it, I really enjoyed it, although I had some small issues as well.
