My To-Be Read List is a meme hosted by Because Reading is Better Than Real Life where at the beginning of the month visitors can choose which book I’ll be reading this month. On the first saturday of a month the poll will be up, then on the second saturday of the month I’ll announce the book that won and on the last saturday of the month I’ll post my review of the book.

This was a close vote, Sweet Little Lies and Death of a Toy Soldier kept vying for the first place. Eventually Sweet Little Lies came out on top. I am looking forward to reading this one!

Here’s how many votes each of them got:
– Death of a Toy Soldier (Vintage Toyshop Mystery #1) by Barbara Early – 40,00% / 8 votes
– Sweet Little Lies (Heartbreaker Bay #1) by Jill Shalvis – 45,00% / 9 votes
– The Chase (Huntress of the Star Empire #1 – 3) by Athena Grayson – 15,00% / 3 votes

The Winner

Blurb:
Choose the one guy you can’t have . . .

As captain of a San Francisco Bay tour boat, Pru can handle rough seas—the hard part is life on dry land. Pru loves her new apartment and her neighbors; problem is, she’s in danger of stumbling into love with Mr. Right for Anybody But Her.

Fall for him—hard . . .

Pub owner Finn O’Riley is six-foot-plus of hard-working hottie who always makes time for his friends. When Pru becomes one of them, she discovers how amazing it feels to be on the receiving end of that deep green gaze. But when a freak accident involving darts (don’t ask) leads to shirtless first aid, things rush way past the friend zone. Fast.

And then tell him the truth.

Pru only wants Finn to be happy; it’s what she wishes for at the historic fountain that’s supposed to grant her heart’s desire. But wanting him for herself is a different story—because Pru’s been keeping a secret that could change everything. . . .

    • It’s such a shame when that happens and you’re reading the wrong book at the wrong time. So far I am enjoying it. I was in the mood for a good romance, so at least I am reading it in the right mood.
