My To-Be Read List is a meme hosted by Because Reading is Better Than Real Life where at the beginning of the month visitors can choose which book I’ll be reading this month. On the first saturday of a month the poll will be up, then on the second saturday of the month I’ll announce the book that won and on the last saturday of the month I’ll post my review of the book.
For this month I picked 3 books by the same author. All are by author Erin Hayes, one a contemporary romance and the other two are more urban fantasy. So far I really enjoyed all books by this author, but I’ve gotten a bit behind on reading her books, so I hope to catch soon. And you can decide which book I read first!

Abby knew that life wasn’t fair.
That’s why she turned to the Fair Ones.Abby thinks she’s a disappointment. Even though she’s grown up in a family of powerful witches, she can’t use magick, she can’t connect to nature, she can’t do anything special – she’s just a normal human.
And normal isn’t good enough for her.
When a hot fairy prince offers her one wish, she doesn’t hesitate to wish for magick of her own. But wishes require a sacrifice. And that sacrifice is her friend Alaina’s unborn baby.
Magickal or not, Abby has to make things right. She ventures into Tír na nÓg to rescue the infant before it’s too late. There’s only one problem. Once she’s there, she may never want to leave.
** I Do Believe in Faeries is a tie-in with How to be a Mermaid and I’d Rather be a Witch. It uses some of the same characters and can be read as a standalone or as a complement to them. **

I may be a vampire hunter.
But I’ve single-handedly screwed up big time. After botching our chance to cure vampirism and the infection that’s killing me, I’m at a loss. My cousin Carl won’t speak to me. The bastard who killed my sister is still alive. And Jude, the amnesiac vampire, says he’s in love with me.
What’s even more shocking is that I love him back.
But the more Jude learns about his past, the more it will tear our relationship and our lives apart. I’m running out of time to find a new successor to become the new Progenitor. Because when I die, it’s game over for all of us.
Open Hearts

My heart isn’t my own.
And I don’t mean romantically.Six months ago, I had a heart transplant. Now I’m learning to live again with someone else’s heart beating in my chest. My scars both inside and out haunt my every waking moment.
Then I meet Rhys, the tattooed Yank that finds himself transplanted to my Southern hometown. Even though he’s haunted by his own scars, he’s determined to show me how to embrace my second chance at life.
I’m not sure if I can give someone my heart when it wasn’t mine to begin with.
And neither of our hearts will survive rejection.
Now it’s time to vote!
I went for Damn if I Don’t because I love a good vampire book!!

Me too! I don’t read them as often, but I do like them!
Hmm. I don’t know which to vote for, so I did a random vote. Hope you have better luck this month, since last month was a bummer.

Thanks! So far I have enjoyed all the books by this author that I read, so I am pretty sure these all will be good ones!

This was a hard one, I went with Damned if I don’t because vampires 🙂
That’s a good reason ;). I like vampires, although I don’t read books with them as often.

I voted for Open Heart, because it sounds like a sweet romance with an interesting plot.

I agree the plot sounds interesting!
I went with Open Heart because it sounded good and wasn’t a second in a series as the second one was. Of course if you have read book one then I guess that’s not an issue. Whatever it ends up being, I hope you enjoy it!

Open Hearts is the only standalone actually of this three. I have read the first book in the Harker series, so it’s not an issue it’s the second book. And I Do Believe in fairies is a loosely connected series as well, I have read the two previous books already.
I do believe in fairies. I do, I do! 😀

I am excited for that one as the mermaid and witch book, which are sorta in the same series where both really good.

This one was easy for me–although I’ve never read the author’s work before. I went with the one with Faery in the title. 🙂 I hope you enjoy whichever wins!

I have read 3 of her books so far I think and they were all good, I really need to catch-up on her books though as I have fallen a bit behind.
I picked Damned If I don’t. I love a vampire book. I read paranormal more often than anything else, so I hope that is a good one.

The first book was great, so I am pretty sure this one will be as well!
oh these all sound so good but I think I believe in fairies. Hope you enjoy whichever one you pick out.

It sure is a fun title! I have enjoyed the first two books in that series so far, so I am looking forward to reading this one!
Damned if I don’t, so you can continue the series.
Thanks for voting! Actually I do believe in faeries is sorta part of a series too, but I copy information from goodreads and it isn’t listed as a series there.

I went with, I Do Believe in Fairies just because it sounds so interesting and different. Plus. the cover just screams ‘read me’.

I love the covers for that series, they are all very pretty and grabbed my attention. The first book was about a mermaid and the second one about a witch, so I am curious about this one.
I voted for open Hearts because it sounded sweet and I liked the author’s “voice” and writing style in the blurb.
I’m bored with vampires, so I wouldn’t choose #2.
#1 sounds okay.
I still enjoy a good vampire book and this series is a good one so far.
I also like the blur for Open hearts, it makes me curious about the book. As I already know the author, I am pretty sure I will enjoy all three of these.
I went with Open Hearts, just not in the mood for vamps or fairies, and the heart transplant was a different angle. I imagine that would be an odd feeling, and difficult to deal with the realities of what happened and why you’re alive, thanks so someone else’s death. :/

I agree it sure sounds like an interesting premise and I am curious how the author will tackle the topic.
I voted for I Do Believe in Fairies – because that cover is gorgeous 🙂
I hope you’ll enjoy your June pick, Lola.

Thanks Lexie I hope so too! Especially as my May pick was a DNf and the second choice was a 2 star. These are all by an author I know so I have high hopes this month’s pick will be a good one 🙂
