Lola’s Ramblings: Which of the 5 books I wanted to read this autumn did I read?

So at the start of autumn I did a post of 5 books I wanted to read this autumn, let’s see which of those I actually read.

5 Books I want to read this autumn

I did not read The Lone Wolf Café yet sadly. I really wanted to get to this one during autumn, but didn’t manage to get to it.

I had a great time reading Autumn Tales From Cozy Vales. I read all the stories in this one and enjoyed most of them. Not as much autumn vibes as I had expected, some of the stories really leaned into the autumn vibes, but others not so much. This is a great cozy fantasy read if you want to try a variety of stories, although I would recommend starting with the previous anthologies first as some stories continue through the anthologies.

I really enjoyed Earl Grave Tea. This one has a strong autumn and Halloween theme, which I liked. This one has lots of cozy vibes too. I like the characters and this one had a fun scavenger hunt the main character goes on whcih her late aunt left for her.

I read one more story from Pets In Space 10, namely Carol Van Natta’s story. I really liked this story. The characters in this one have to deal with some upheaval when the company they work are doing some restructuring. Confused and worried for their job they team up and decide to dig into things and discover some strange things going on. I really like how Carol Van Natta writes her characters as they feel so real and relatable. They both have a pet who were fun to read about to and were fun additions to the story. I hope to read more stories of this one soon.

I really enjoyed Contracts & Cats. This one fit my mood perfectly and I can definitely recommend it if you want a fun comforting slice of life cozy fantasy read. It was such a fun and cozy read.
