Ever since last summer when I joined Coyer for the first time this has been one of my favourite reading challenges in part thanks to all the hard work of the hosts and the awesome facebook group. Coyer is hosted by Michelle from Because Reading is Better Than Real Life, Berls from Fantasy is More Fun and Stormi from Books, Movies, Reviews! Oh My!
You can stop by their sites to read the full rules and how to sign-up.
This Coyer is a bit different and has both a scavenger hunt part and a supportive participant giveaway, for which I am hoping to get some entries in. I mostly will be following my mood reading ways, but afterwards I’ll be checking to see if the book counts for any of the scavenger entries.
My Goals
- Read at least 12 books. I read about 5 books each month as as Coyer is slightly longer than two months, I thought I would set my goal at the reasonable goal of 12 books.
- Read at least 6 review books. I am hoping to use Coyer to make a dent in my review books pile and I am planning to have about half of my total of books I read during this challenge be review books. So I put this goal on 6.
- Read at least 2 new releases. I am doing another challenge for this, so I thought it would be fun to mention that here too. I want to make sure I give both new releases and older releases a chance.
- Read at leats 5 books that count for the Scavenger Hunt. As I mentioned above I don’t want to focus spcifically on the scavenger hunt, but I like the idea, so I do want to make sure at least some of my books counts for that.
- Participate in at least 2 twitter parties. I loved the twitter parties last year and while I hope to be able to attend all 5 of the parties this time, my goal is to at least attend two of them as they are so much fun! I have them all marked down in my calendar so I don’t forget about them.
- Be active in the facebook group. The facebook group is one of my favourite parts of Coyer so I want to be active in the group during Coyer and reply to at leats 2 of the 5 posts each week.
- Be a Supportive Participant. I want to try and get some entries in the supportant participant giveaway. I don’t read as much books as the other participants so I want to try be supportive of fellow COYERers. I’ll try to comment on at least 2 Coyer reviews each week and reply to at least 2 tweets each week.
Hey, great goals and this sounds like fun. I’m focused on getting caught up on older review books and TBR pile with a few challenges already so in theory COYER would be perfect, but I think I’ll skip this time around.

I really would recommend to join Coyer once, maybe next time :). It’s such a fun challenge and it’s a great community. Especially the facebook group is great and I love hanging out there and adding even more books to my to-read list. Every time Coyer ends I am sad and every time a new one starts it’s so exciting.
And all books count for summer coyer, not just review books. Winter Coyer is review or free books only. Summer Coyer is basically a read as much as you can challenge with some scavenger hunt parts thrown in.

Thanks! And you should join it’s awesome. And it sounds more complex than it is, basically you can read whatever book you want and every book counts towards the challenge, except for library books I think. So you can read whatever you want and link up all your reviews. But there are extra’s like the scavanger hunt for which there is a giveaway or the supportive participant for whcih there also is a giveaway. The best part is the awesome community on facebook and how we’re talking about books in the group there and on twitter.
Oooh okay, you made it sound way simpler! I was confused as to whether or not I was suppose to provide a giveaway or something for each challenge. I’ll definitely consider doing this now:D That sounds like a lot of fun getting to know a lot more bloggers and reviewers.

Nope you don’t have to a giveaway, you just have to read books and have fun :). I hope you’ll decide to join it’s a lot of fun and a great opportunity to meet new bloggers. Make sure to join the facebook group if you sign-up!
Okie dokie! I’ll probably join in then:D! Thanks Lola!

Yay!
This is the first that I’ve heard of this. Sounds like fun but I probably won’t do it. Just too busy with all the product reviews I have to do right now.

It’s a fun challenge and it’s pretty laid back too, with how you can just read at your own pace. Good luck with those product reviews, I always enjoy seeing those on your blgo even though most of the products aren’t sold here.
This sounds like a fun and realistic goal <3 I hope to read maybe 50 book this summer, here's to hoping though. I hope you do reach your goal, and I look forward to reading your reviews ๐

Thanks! I always try to keep my goals realistic so I don’t get overhwelmed. I hope you manage to read 50 books this summer, that’s a great goal as well!
I joined COYER too. I think the Scavenger Hunt will be fun. I’ve printed the list out and I need to go through my TBR to see what books will fit.

Yay for joining as well! I still have to print out the list. I have it saved on my desktop, so I can print it closer to the start date. I like the Scavenger hunt idea, as the scavenger readathon last time was a lot of fun as well.

Lola this is the first time I’ve heard of #COYER I actually came across it accidentally in someone elses blog that is currently participating in the #ArmchairBEA so I’m very excited that I was able to make it to sign up. I’ve heard great things about this group already, so I’m hoping that this group can also help me with my reading/bookish goals.
All the best with your goals I’m sure you will achieve it ๐

That’s exciting this is your first time joining Coyer, I hope you’ll enjoy it and have fun! The facebook group is great, we talk about Coyer, but also about general bookish thigns and there is always someone to encourage you or help you.
I’m very excited to be taking part in COYER this summer. I think your goals are very reasonable and I wish you luck with them! I don’t read very fast–or much–either, but I do imagine our wish lists will grow quite a bit throughout this challenge just the same. ๐
