Hello Pragya!
Welcome to Lola’s Reviews! I am so excited to have you on my blog today. I actually follow Reviewing shelf for quite some time now by e-mail, but almost never stop by to comment strangely enough, I really should stop by more often.
Why did you decide to start blogging?
Books have been my love since childhood but it was only around June 2011 that I got some time to read again. It was all thanks to Goodreads and that is when I started reviewing books for the first time. Gradually, I found about and started following book blogs and then thought why don’t I start one too? I have always been fascinated by the idea of blogging but didn’t think I could post regularly but books gave me a medium to post regularly about.
How did you come up with the name for your blog, Reviewing Shelf?
It was hard choosing a name for my blog. I was thinking what to name it and then went ahead with the most simple one that came to my mind. My idea behind the blog was to review and hence the ‘Reviewing Shelf’.
How old is your blog now?
My blog is just a year and few months old.
What do you enjoy most about blogging?
I love the interactions that I hold with my followers through comments.
What do you enjoy the least about blogging?
The rigorous schedule that I put myself on according to all the virtual book tours going around.
How did you decide on this design for your blog?
Well, I like a simplistic and clear blog design that doesn’t overpower the content. Also, I’m too moody and keep changing the design very often.
I noticed that you signed up for a lot of different challenges this year. Can you tell me what you think about reading challenges and why you signed up for so many of them?
I like challenging myself, be it about reading or things in real life. I didn’t do well with tracking my reading challenges last year, so I’m pretty motivated to do it this year. I have started on a good note and track my challenges’ progress at the end of each month now. Challenges keep me motivated, I love checking out others’ progress and of course the giveaways offered are a bonus.
