The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was a pretty decent week. I got in a nice bike ride around town to some parts I don’t visit usually, which was nice. And I felt pretty good the first part of the week, but then the second half of the week was a lot worse with warm weather and a bad migraine.
I also managed to mess up dinner one evening and it was a dish meant for multiple days, so that was annoying. It was a combination of bad produce as well as trying out asafoetida and it just ruined the whole dish and it did not taste good. We ended up throwing it out and I had to make something else the next day. Sadly that happened right before my period migraine, so I had to cook during the start of my migraine which I usually try to avoid. And then the stress of that caused the migraine to be a pretty bad one.
I made some progress with my food as well, I’ve been trying to figure out what’s still causing my bloating and I swapped out the soy milk I was drinking for coconut milk first, but that didn’t help, so gave it another try and swapped it out for rice milk and that seemed to help a bit. I also realized a cracker I was eating still contained something that wasn’t low-FODMAP and swapped that out for a low-FODMAP cracker. And I noticed some progress. It’s really been a pain figuring this all out, but hopefully this will get rid of the last of the symptoms. I also ate something that caused gastrointestinal distress later in the week and it really reminded me of how bad this can be and how much better I am doing.
What did I read this week?
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Fates & Family by Toni Binns
– Review: Arsenic and Adobo by Mia P. Manansala
– Review: Second Chance with Bastet by Laura Greenwood
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: Goblin Fruit by Celia Lake
– Review: The Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst

Glad your week started out better, sorry it didn’t end quite that great. Here’s hoping this coming week will be better. I’m sure it does feel nice to know more about how and what to eat to get rid of issues. I got a bit behind on commenting on other blogs and I know I have a review or two from you to check out.

It was such a good start of the week and I am sad with the migraine, heat and meal getting ruined it didn’t end very good. I feel like I almost have everything figured out what I can eat and what not, but it’s such a long tiresome process.
Sorry to hear about your migraine — I hope you’re doing better now. Eating low-FODMAP can be tough. I hope things improve for you! Excited to see your takes on The Enchanted Greenhouse, It looks fantastic.
I am doing better now, but it was a bad migraine this time. And indeed eating low-FODMAP is really hard, luckily it has helped with my symptoms, but it remains tough. The Enchanted Greenhouse was really good.
My daughter has the trial and error because low FODMAP isn’t a fit for her issues. But she’s gotten it in good shape now. I hope this week is much better for you.

The trial and error is the hardest part, figuring out what you can eta and what not. Sometimes things are low-FODMAP, but I still react to it, although for me it’s a good startign point as low-FODMAP does seem to help.
I’ve done that with recipes too. Especially now that I’m trying to eat healthy and trying new foods. Sometimes they just don’t come out right.
It’s a shame when a recipe just doesn’t come out right. I think in this case the asoefetida we bought was old or something as it just didn’t taste and smell like it should
