The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This is Sunday Post number 700, how awesome is that?
This was another tiring week. I was hoping to focus on my mental and physical health more this week and relax more, but instead we decided to order new bed frame slats for our bed as we’ve been sleeping badly and our current ones are pretty old. So that took some time and stress ordering that and then the delivery time didn’t work, so we had to change the whole delivery date, which means we have to wait longer for it to arrive. So that didn’t go as smoothly as hoped, let’s hope next time we get a better delivery time. Doing these sorts of things is very stressful for me with having to get it done as well as the change, so it’s been a stressful week handling that.
The rest of the week was decent. I went out for a walk with my boyfriend despite the weather not being as good as we had hoped. I got some work done for the author I do assistant work for. The weather was surprisingly cold this week.
My journey of figuring out what I can eat or not continues and I had some new cookies I tried this week that unfortunately gave me symptoms even tough they were glutenfree and low fodmap. I found a new bread I really enjoy, so that’s been nice. And the last few weeks I’ve been using different bouillon cubes without gluten and that made a big difference, guess even that small amount of gluten caused issues.
What did I read this week?
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Carry On by Celia Lake
– Review: Two Purloined Pillows by Allie Pleiter
– Review: Burial of Bones by Laura Greenwood
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: The Vampire in the Potting Shed by Hailey Edwards
– Review: The Suffering of Fools by Jenn Burke
– Review: Second Time’s a Curse by Laura Greenwood

Sorry that it was a long week, hopefully you get a more relaxed one. I read Wild About You a few months ago – it was a cute one
I sure hope I will have a more relaxed week soon. I really enjoyed Wild About You and it was the perfect fit for my reading mood.
I understand the stress of fixing things. I was all set to go buy a new mattress, and ChatGPT had told me the one I wanted was only like $1500, and then I got to the store I usually buy from and they didn’t have the exact same one, and what they did have was $3400, on sale! So ugh. The diet thing is always so hard to figure out, especially if it isn’t easy to say just cut one thing out, you have to try everything. :-(. Hope this is a better week for you. I think I read Wild About You a while back and enjoyed it, so I hope you did as well!
Oof that is quite the difference in price. Mattresses are so pricey. I briefly looked at mattresses too as I am not sure if just replacing the bed frame slats will be enough, but they sure have gotten even pricier since the last time we bought some.
I think that’s exactly the trouble with the food, if it was just one thing that would be something, but I now have a whole list of ingredients I respond badly to.
I loved Wild About You and I remembered you reviewing it and re-read your review once I finished it.
Good gluten free bread is a challenge to find so that’s a win! I hope your new bed arrives soon!
Thanks for sharing your week
It really is tough finding good gluten free bread, so I am glad I found this brand that has some really good ones. And hopefully the new bed frame slats will be delivered this week.
I agree that setting up delivery times or times to get work done on the house can be stressful. Hope the new bed slats help support your bed so you can sleep better. Nice that you worked out a new cookie and some bouillon to help with the gut. Love that you could get out for a walk this past week.
Have a good week, Lola!
I like it when you can pick at least a part of day for delivery instead of just hoping you get a good time slot. I hope the delivery time this week works out and it will improve our sleep quality. Switching to a different bouillon cube helped so much, I hadn’t expected the small bit of gluten in them to be a problem, but it was.
Hope you have a good week!
Thank you!
That is stressful and we certainly have to watch out for gluten and search for things we can eat. I hope things will go smoothly for this week.

I definitely didn’t realize how many products have gluten and how tough it can be to avoid them. I hadn’t expected the small amount of gluten in the bouillon cubes to cause problems, but glad I figured out that was the cause.
Yes… trying to sort out things can be really stressful, especially if you aren’t feeling 100% healthwise. And trying to nail food issues is a gruelling, long haul business. Hope the coming week is a better one, Lola.
Thanks! I do feel like I am finally getting a hang on the food issues and knowing what I can eat, but I still have to be careful and check ingredients when I try something new.
Finding the right food can be a struggle. I have to avoid soy. So many things have soy. Ugh. I hope the week ahead is a good one for you both.
Oh that sounds super difficult to avoid soy, I am glad I can eat soy as I am eating and drinking a lot of it to avoid products I can no longer eat.
Figuring all these things out in such a hassle. I hope next week is better.
It is getting better now that I am figuring things out, but it really is such a hassle.
I hope you can get some more stress relief and figure out the diet.
I like the cover of the Peg Cochran book.
Thanks! Those Peg Cochran books always have great covers :).
