What happened this week?
Another busy week. We did more cleaning up after we had a mouse in our house a few weeks ago. Early in the week we looked at the small storage room adjacent to our living room and filled up any cracks and such with kit. To make sure nothign can come in that way, although we’re pretty sure the mouse didn’t enter there, it seemed like a good idea to make sure that was done.
I also took a peek at the attic, which has been a mess since we moved here and is even more so now after the mouse clearly made a mess there as well. I didn’t see any recent signs up mouse activity and the mouse even ate most of his droppings as my boyfriend said there was a whole bunch of droppings last time and there were not as many now. We’re wondering if the mouse might’ve died in our walls as we smelled a strange smell for a few days, but no way to know for sure.
Then later in the week we tackled the laundry room, there were a bunch of boxes and stuff thrown on the floor there and we checked and cleaned everything there. No signs up the mouse except for one dropping we had found weeks before, but it was good to get it all cleaned and thrown some stuff away too. It’s looking a lot more organized now and we’re thinking of seeing if we can get a cabinet for that room eventually so we don’t have to store things on the floor.
Besides that I’ve been struggling mentally. These past few weeks have been very tiring and stressful and I don’t have a lot of energy, so overdoing it like that means I often crash and just feel horrible down and depressed. I hope I can take more time to relax soon, but there is still a bunch of things we have to clean and deal with. I did manage to get some nice walks in and the nature has been looking very pretty here this time of year. My reading has been a bit all over the place, but I just try to go with it and read whatever I feel like and I have so many ongoing books at the moment.

Sorry you’ve been feeling so down. I get it. I’m trying to move on, but if I even stop for a minute and think to myself about Dora I get sad again. Not to mention worrying about Argyle still too. I hope this is an easier and better week for you.

You can feel product of your accomplishments in cleaning up and that it’s done. It’s icky knowing they have been there. Hopefully this week will be more nature and books!
