sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

Another week of preparing to move. We got a bunch of stuff done this week, mostly a lot of cleaning out as we want to get finished with that before we start packing things up. And some other things we needed to get done. The paint supplies are bought now too, we did but the actual paint last week already.

I am still feeling very stressed, anxious and this week was super warm as well. So not only did I feel uncomfortable due to being stressed, but also due to the heat. And now the stress or heat could cause trouble with sleeping. I’ve been taking a lot of naps lately, but actually tried to do fewer this week hoping I would fall asleep easier, which sort of helped? But it made getting through my day harder. And keeping up with things like cooking and laundry while having so much to do for the upcoming move is hard. I also have some physical symptoms that I think are from being stressed, but still a bit concerning. And there was construction noise as well as they’re renovating another building close by. Luckily only two or three mosquitos this week, so that wasn’t too bad and they didn’t disrupt our sleep at least.

What did I read this week?

This week I blogged about:

Review: Reclaim Your Mind by Jay Vidyarthi
Review: How to Have a Killer Time in D.C. by Sam Lumley

Ugh, stress is not fun! I get that! Dora yelped in the middle of the night again, I’ve still had them sleeping in the cage for most of the night. But they’ve been back together in the big cage. So I heard it from my room and went out and put them in their own cages again after taking them out. And of course the stress went right to my gut and I had my own physical issues with it all night. How soon do you move? I’m happy for you to be away from all the issues at your current place, but I know it’s stressful leading up to that!

    • Sorry to hear you had some worries with your dogs again. I hope Dora is doing well. And stress can really hit your body in weird ways. I really hope the next place will be nicer and not have any of the current issues, but there are so many other things I am worrying about like the fact the new place is so much smaller.

    • There are still a few weeks before the move and still a lot that needs to be done before then. Hopefully once the move is done it will be easier to relax and settle in new routines.

  2. Yeah, that’s a huge drain on your energy dealing with the extras for the move plus everyday tasks and the heat. It really heated up this week around here, too. Hopefully, you can get more rest at night this week.

    Have a good week, Lola!

  3. Moving is Evil! I will never move again, it is very stressful but things will get back to a normal just make sure you take time for yourself to process what is happening. I hate the heat so I feel you on that. Would rather it be cool.

Have a great week, Lola! Happy Reading! oxoxo

    • I am not sure if I can ever move again, but I do really want to move to the other side of the country eventually, so that would mean moving again. Guess we’ll see what happens. I hope I have time to process everything after the move as it feels like there is no time for that now. And the heat is awful and just adds to the stress.
