sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

Let me start with the good news: we got the house! I mentioned last week we were visiting a potential new house this week, so that happened on Monday. We both liked the house, it’s cozy and in a very quiet neighborhood. We said we wanted the house and a day later we got the confirmation that we get the house. So that’s very exciting, but also stressful as now we have to prepare for moving and there are so many things to do and decide on. It has been a very tiring week.

So there was a lot thinking of the house and constantly asking questions to my mom or boyfriend, researching things and making lists. I didn’t do much else. I tried to do some normal things at times to keep my mind off things, but it was hard to focus on reading or anything else. My brain doesn’t handle change or uncertainty well, so it feels like I have to figure everything out now before it can quiet down. Hopefully that’s soon as I am tired. I didn’t sleep very well and then there was a mosquito as well two nights. The last few days have felt a little bit better, so I think I am getting at that point were I answered most of my questions. I’ve had some better nights of sleep as well, which has been helpful.

I’ll try to keep blogging when I can, I still have plenty of reviews written, I just need to schedule them. But I probably have less time for visiting other blogs for a while as I am dealing with all this preparing to move stuff.

We also fit a small outing in this week, there was a foodtruck we wanted to try and decided to do it now we still live here. It was a food truck selling egg sandwiches and they were very good. They plan to open a restaurant in a city close to the new house, so hopefully we can visit that in the future.

  1. Congrats on the new house, Lola! I’m glad you found one you liked. Moving is stressful, though. I never want to do it again, personally. Don’t worry about the reviews, or blog. We will be here waiting for you when you get settled. As for me, I had a pretty dull week. Had to paint some around the house, and just, writing away. Have a good one!

    • Thanks! I am glad we found a house we liked and had a chance to get. I totally agree that moving is super stressful and without our current financial troubles I am not sure if I would have ever been able to convince myself to move. I hope your house painting went well.

    • I don’t think moving is fun and I’ll be glad when it’s over. Although I don’t mind the packing too much. I hope I can still do Sunday Post updates most weeks, but we’ll see how it goes. And we heard form the previous renter that she didn’t have any mosquitos ever at the house, so that’s a good sign!

    • The previous renter told us she never had mosquitos, so that’s definitely a plus. It’s not as old as our current home and was in good state. I do like to do some of the sorting, but it’s harder with to enjoy with the pressure of having to get it done before a certain time. Luckily we already did a lot of that last year, so there’s not as much to do now.

  2. I’m so jazzed you guys got that house. Woohoo!
But, yes, lots of questions, lists, and stress with moving. Taking it a bit at a time from now until moving day will help.

    Have a good week, Lola!
