The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This week was a stressful one, but we got some things done, which was nice. We continued our cleaning out and this time tackled some of our clothes, still some more to do, but we made good progress. There was a lot that didn’t fit anymore or that we didn’t wear anymore and we’re bringing most of it to this place close by were you can bring clothes and fabric and they sort through it and decide what happens with it. A few items were still in really good state that we’re trying to sell those.
Now for the stressful part. We found a house we actually have a chance to get, but then had some struggle with paperwork we needed that might not arrive on time. We requested it as soon as we could, but we had to wait for it to arrive by post, still don’t get why this isn’t isn’t digitalized. So that was stressful. It arrived later than expected, but it was still on time luckily and we have a visit for the house tomorrow.
The house is not really the location we wanted, but it looks like a decent place and with the financial stress we decided to at least give it a look and see if it will work maybe only temporary for a few years until we get a house in the region we really want. We would have to do away some of our furniture as not everything will fit in the house as it’s less than half the size of our current house. We wanted to live somewhere smaller as this house is too large, but that’s a big difference in size. Thinking and planning about it all was very stressful and it’s not over yet. The idea of moving also stresses me out.
I also found out this week that we can get financial aid for paying the rent, but only if we have social housing, which our current house isn’t. So that would be another incentive for moving quickly.
I did get some work done and updated the website of the author I work for with new covers for one of her series. I also stated the next book to prooflisten and made a start with that.
What did I read this week?
This week I blogged about:
– Review: The Potion Dealers by Lidiya Foxglove
– Review: The Little Lost Library by Ellery Adams
– Review: Rite of Blood and Vows by Laura Greenwood
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: A Brush With Magic by Flora Ahn
– Review: Only Bad Options by Jennifer Estep
– Review: Monster’s Mistake by Laura Greenwood
You have my profound sympathy:((. The prospect of moving is always daunting – but when it isn’t because you’re moving onto something exciting – like a job or lifestyle change, or instance – then it can be miserable. I hope the coming week is a good one, Lola.
The prospect of moving is super daunting indeed. Luckily the house turned out to be nicer than anticipated and even though it’s not my preferred location, there is plenty of nature close by. It’s still going to be very stressful dealing with all the moving stuff.
I hope this house works out for you if you decide it is what you want. I do want a smaller house, but yeah, moving is such a huge undertaking! I have got to get things cleaned out of my house and just thrown away or donated to Good Will over the summer so I can feel better about moving if I ever find what I want and can do that. Hope you have a good week!

The house turned out to be great and we both really liked it. It is a lot smaller, so that will be tough, but it also feels a lot more cozy than our current house. We already did a lot of cleaning out here last year, but there’s still a lot to do. I think it definitely helps to get a lot of that done before you move.
Definitely a stressful time and making rapid decisions and hoping paperwork gets on time would do it. Yay for progressing with your clean out which is a big step toward being ready to move. Hopefully the walk-through tomorrow goes well.
Nicely done polishing off a few work tasks and more books from the stack.
Have a good week, Lola!
It really has been a stressful time and those rapid decisions are tough, but hopefully it will all turn out well. I hope to do more cleaning out soon, so we can have that all done before the move.
Moving is a lot of work. I enjoy the process of planning and organizing things in a new place. I hope it all goes smoothly for you.

I do enjoy planning the big things like were we put the furniture, but I don’t like planning all the little details and preparing for the move. It sure is a lot of work.
Moving is stressful. Hopefully you get the house.
We did get the house, now the stressful part of moving starts.
