The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was a tough week. We had a stressful appointment early this week and despite preparing well for it, we were both very stressed and I have no clue if it went well. And now we have to wait for a response for 2 months.
We got a letter that our rent is going up and I am going to see if there’s anything we can do about it as our financial situation is very tight currently and we can’t really afford higher rent.
I hurt my back last week installing mosquito netting on our windows ventilation girdles and it wasn’t fully healed yet and the stress made it worse again. So most of this week was spent trying to do the bare minimum of tasks I had to do and try and recover from the appointment and get my body back to a better state.
And despite our best efforts we’re still having mosquitos coming in the house. Only a few per day, but they’re still very annoying as we both can’t stand them. Like really how are they getting in? We have a few more ideas to try out, two rooms we thought were less important didn’t have the netting on the ventilation girdles yet, so we did that on Saturday. And we applied some tape of netting over some weird big holes in the window panes. So let’s hope that helps.
What did I read this week?
I knew this week was going to be stressful, so I tried to finish most of my current reads late last week and then started a bunch of longer reads and a re-read so I wouldn’t have to worry about writing reviews as much this week. That plan worked out as the only book I finished was my audiobook.
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Chaotic Apéritifs by Tao Wong
– Review: The Night Realm by Annette Marie
– Review: The Tea Witch’s Secret by Laura Greenwood and Arizona Tape
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: The King’s Weaver by Novae Caelum
– Review: Paper Cuts by Ellery Adams
– Review: Sabre Woods Academy by Laura Greenwood
Good luck with the stressful situation! I hope you can find a way to relax in the meantime, though it’s always hard when you’re just having to wait for a reply.
Hope you have some good reading this week!

Thanks! I agree waiting for the reply is going to be hard, but hopefully we can relax a bit now that the meeting is over.
I am sorry you have to wait two months for the results! I hope you can find some ways to take your mind off of it until then.
I was so surprised to hear the results would take two months, I know they’re busy, but that is a long wait.
Ugh, I hate when you have to wait to find out important news, especially two months! That seems like forever! I wish you were able to move if that’s what you wanted. The craziness with the mosquitos is just something so unbelievable. And it sucks when you are on a roll getting things done and then you hurt yourself and it slows everything down. For me it was Dora hurting herself which brought my productiveness over the last two weeks way down. Fingers crossed this week is better and that something gets figured out for your mosquito issues!

I thought waiting two months was just way too much. We do actually plan to move as we can no longer afford this house.
We have been looking for a while now, but we want to get into social housing and it’s this complicated system with different sites for different regions and unless you got signed up the moment you can as a teenager you don’t have as good of a chance now and have to wait longer as there aren’t enough houses.
It was really frustrating to hurt myself, only now the pain is almost gone, it took a while. Sorry to hear about Dora hurting herself, things like that can really impact your week and productivity.
That is frustrating about the wait. I hope it works out soon, being able to afford housing is rough, and when you’re living somewhere that you have to deal with the mosquitos and it is expensive? That really sucks!
It has been a decent place to live, but with our financial situation not improving and the rent going up and now these issues with mosquitos and construction noises and such, we’re ready for a new place. I think it will take another year or so probably before we’re signed up long enough to have a chance at a house.
oh I really hope you get relief from the mosquitos and have a more relaxed week. It’s hard when it takes so long to get results.

I think we finally got all the entranced covered as we only has one bugging us this week, so hopefully it’s finally been resolved. It sure is hard havign to wait so long.
My heart goes out to you over the stressful feelings from the meeting and dealing with the annoying mosquitos and a sore back. Rough week for you.
Hopefully, this week will be better, Lola!
It sure was a rough week, hopefully the next few weeks are a bit easier.
Ah mosquitoes are the worst! I get really bad reactions to mosquito bites, like full-on welts. It’s so bad. We were on a trip last week and on the way back, at some stop, I got two mosquito bites when the rest of my family got zero 😭 Idk why they always go after me. It’s like they know my body will react terribly 😂 Anyway, I really hope you get that situation figured out because I know you’ve been dealing with it for a while now.
I can relate as I have the same issue, I get really bad reactions and large itching welts. They always bite me too. I found out last year that anti-histamine pill works really well against the reactions and can definitely recommend giving that a try.
Sorry you had a stressful situation. Rent increasing is always another stressful thing to have to deal with. I hope you heal soon. The mosquitos are so small they always seem to get in so fast and in through the small of cracks.
It’s annoying through how small of a gap the mosquitos get in, I think we finally resolved the situation. The rent increase is stressful and I hope we can do something about it.
