The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
I didn’t have as much energy this week, but I somehow got everything done that I wanted. I struggled with some severe muscle pain later in the week that almost turned into a migraine, but managed to prevent that by taking painkillers in time.
I did a bit more cleaning out of my books, I remembered a shelf behind a door that contained books I hadn’t looked at and a lot of those I put on the donate pile as I don’t want to keep them. I also took another look at the books I already sorted through and found a few more I wanted to donate and some to give away to my mom and her husband. I made a few trips to donate some books to a free little library nearby that’s located in a grocery store and every day I got there I saw the ones I put there the time before were gone. Still have a bunch of books to donate there and will do that over the curse of next week probably.
I got a bit of a scare as I almost got hit by a really fast biker who didn’t point out his direction and then came right at me and only narrowly missed me. After that I bought some good muffins at a local bakery that only sells them around some festive times of year, so I was glad to spot they sold them now and bought a few.
I finished prooflistening the book I was prooflistening and then started the next one already. Did a few smaller assistant work tasks for the same author as well. I also made some more changes to the box set I was formatting for another author, still have a few last changes to make, but almost done with that now..
What did I read this week?
These were all good ones. Waiting for Psamathe and The City Without End were next books in series and by authors I like. Waiting for Psamathe was another fun and sweet romance in this series, I liked reading about the characters.
The City Without End has more mystery and less romance than I expected, but I enjoyed it and the slow burn romance and characters were great.
Practical Rules for Cursed Witches was a new to me author and I really enjoyed this audiobook. It’s a nice cozy fantasy romance with interesting characters, some adventure and a sweet romance. The world building was interesting too with a more modern fantasy world setting and the magic and curses.
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Secrets, Songbirds, and Succulents by Iris March
– Review: All Chaos for Thieves by Laura Greenwood
– Review: Ghosts of the Opera by Janna Ruth
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong
– Review: Rite of Blood and Patience by Laura Greenwood
– Review: The Vanishing Type by Ellery Adams
– Lola’s Ramblings: Do you Buy Multiple Editions of a Book?
I’m behind on reading reviews, and I see a few of yours I really hope to check out this week. Hoping for a snow day this week for that! lol. That bike almost hitting you is scary! Glad you’re okay! Glad you were also able to keep the migraine from developing. It is so nice when you are able to catch something like that before it starts, because once it starts it can last a while. I hope you have a better week!

So did you get a snow day this week?
The bike almost hitting me sure was scary.
I rarely manage to get the painkillers in time, so was glad I got the timing right this time and it didn’t develop in a migraine.
I hope this well be an easier week. I feel like I haven’t had energy all year. I hate the things our government is doing. Or the unelected people who are just running around our government.

Thanks! I am sorry to hear about your low energy levels. I don’t really stay up to date on news about the US, but I heard multiple people mentioning being worried.
Good find on the muffins. Hope you enjoy them. Glad to hear that motorcyclist didn’t hit you. Hope this week is a good one for you.
I was glad to spot the muffins as they don’t sell them often, they were good.
The timing of painkillers for migraines are so crucial. I’m notorious for waiting too long because I don’t like my migraine medicine and then I have to take it anyway. It’s nice that people are picking up your donations. I hope you have a wonderful week!
I just have some heavier painkillers instead of specialized migraine medicine, but I rarely manage to time it like this and prevent the migraine. Like you I often wait too long or don’t notice the early signs in time. It is nice to see people picking up my donated books.
Whew, that would have been scary to have a fast bike coming at you. Glad you are safe- and got your reward bakery outing. Looks like it was a fun reading week with some favorite series.
Have a good week, Lola!
It really was not a place were cyclist should go that fast and then I had expected him to go straight and when he suddenly served toward me was a scary moment. The muffins sure were a nice treat after the scare.
