The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
I got quite a bit done this week, which was nice. I actually felt energetic and it was good to be able to use that energy to get things done. The weather was kinda gloomy and grey again for several days and I am hoping for some sunny days soon. I got some things around the house done and made good progress with the audiobook I am prooflistening too. My new client for book formatting sent the materials along, so I made a start on that and hope it work more on that next week.
I also finished a bunch of books this week. And I wrote three new discussion posts, I am really enjoying writing those. I’ve been more excited about blogging lately and it’s been nice. It’s been good to have been able to make time to write some discussions posts. I like talking more about books in general, books I enjoyed or book related topics. This week I published my post about my 2024 reading stats, which was fun to write.
What did I read this week?
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Ink and Shadows by Ellery Adams
– Review: The Disruptors by Sally Percy
– Review: Ghosts of the Crusade by Janna Ruth
– Lola’s Ramblings: Reading Statistics for 2024
The week was trying dealing with debilitating cold weather days, just now warming up a tiny bit. Doesn’t stop the reading though.
Discussion posts about books are a good idea. Have a good week.
Sorry to hear the weather was so cold were you live. I enjoy writing the discussion posts, it’s fun to talk about books in various ways.
We had frigid cold this past week, but some sunny days made up for that a bit. I hope you have a good week! I had a discussion post idea earlier this week, but I didn’t write it down and now I can’t remember it! 🙁

Sorry to hear about your cold weather, it’s nice you had some sunny days as well at least. That’s a shame about forgetting that discussion post idea, I always make sure to write them down right away if possible for fear of forgetting.
Glad to hear you have recently found blogging more fun with the discussions:)). And yes… it’s been very grey this winter so far. Days go by without any sun. I’m really, really looking forward to the better weather! Have a great week, Lola:).
Writing the discussion posts has been so much fun and it helped me enjoy blogging more. I like writing reviews a lot, but sometimes I just want to talk more about books and the discussion posts are a great way to do that. This winter has been very grey indeed, we luckily had a sunny day yesterday.
Discussions are so hard for me. It’s great that they are happening for you and that you are enjoying blogging. Hope you have a great week!
I’ve had years were I didn’t do any discussion posts as I just didn’t have the time or energy to write them, it’s nice they’ve been working for me this year.
I’m glad you had such a great week! Cold or gloomy days are good for indoor work though. I just get energy from the sunnier days. We are warming up a bit this week, to more normal winter weather which is mild here.

It was nice to have so much energy despite the gloomy weather as I usually have more energy when it’s sunny and it’s easier to get things done. Good to hear your winter weather is going more to what’s normal winter weather for your region. We have relatively mild winters here as well.
I’m glad you had a good week. Hopefully this coming week is another good one for you.
Thanks! I hope so too.
I love grey days for doing bits. I’m a rare person who isn’t a fan of the sunshine 😂
Looks like you had a successful reading week.
Have a great week next week!

I don’t always like sunshine, but it’s like my brain works a lot better when it’s light. And winter can be a bit of a struggle for me with low mood and energy levels, so I definitely prefer sunlight then.
It was nice to get so many books finished this week.
The Magic of Knowing What You Want sounds like a very useful book!
It was, there was lots of practical advice and I enjoyed reading it.
What wonderful news that your energy was up and you got a lot done including a huge pile of books! I love weeks like that. 🙂
Have a great week, Lola!
It really was great to have so much energy, get a lot done and finish a bunch of books as well.
