The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
I was still a bit tired from last week, but luckily no appointments this week. I baked some cookies with white chocolate chips and they turned out well. I struggled with some neck and shoulder pain after sleeping wrongly, so that bothered me for a few days and caused a headache as well. We’re still struggling with some mosquitos, about 5 or so per day. We’re hoping that number eventually dwindles, but so far it hasn’t.
We did a bit more cleaning out of the house. There’s this service here (not sure what you call it in English) where they collect big products that you can’t throw away yourself and we saw it was stopping by and quickly put a few big pieces outside so they could collect it. We also finished going through our shoes as well as the bathroom, so that’s another room finished. And I tackled another drawer I hadn’t done yet in the living room.
What did I read this week?
This week I blogged about:
– Review: All Sales Fatal by Laura DiSilverio
– Review: Rite of Blood and Secrets by Laura Greenwood
– Review: Something More by Jackie Khalilieh
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: The Gift of Anxiety by Diante Fuchs
– Review: The Stars Too Fondly by Emily Hamilton
– Review: Summer Fling With A Sea God by Laura Greenwood
I still need to check out your review of Something More as I’ve been considering buying it for my school library. Well darn, I’d hoped the mosquitos were gone! I mean less is better, but none should be how it is! Hope you get the headache and all that figured out. Sleeping wrong can mess up the rest of the day. I have the issue that one of my dogs wants to sleep right up against the middle of my back, which then I feel like I can’t move all night so I don’t roll over on top of him and I wake up with a back ache.

It might be a good one for your school library, it really had a realistic high school vibe. I agree less mosquitos is better, but I just want them to get fully gone. I had to put a bit more stuffing in my pillow and that fixed the neck/ shoulder pain, so that’s gone now. Sleeping wrong can really mess a body up.
I hope things go better for you next week. How soon is your first frost? That should finally stop the mosquitos totally.

I think first frost isn’t till late December or early January usually, so that will still be a few months. I do hope the colder weather helps as I want to be done with them.
Way to go getting through so much sorting and cleaning out. I’m not sure we have an equivalent for a pick up service like that for the large items. Great that they do it, though.
Have a good week, Lola!
It was nice to make some more progress with the sorting and cleaning. That service is really handy for big items, they also have a place you can bring it to yourself, but if you have a lot or don’t have a car this is easier. I didn’t realize you in the US don’t have something similar.
I live in an apartment complex so we can put really big things in our garbage cans even big things like stoves and refrigerators. If you want to donate some things that are still usable you can call a charity like Good Will to come pick it up. That’s what I did with all my mom’s clothes when she passed.
Hopefully when it cools down more the mosquitoes will be gone.

That’s handy you can put even big items in your garbage cans, here those big things don’t fit in the normal garbage cans. We do have charities as well here that can pick up stuff that’s still usable.
