The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This week had it’s ups and downs. I had to get something important done with documents I had to send, there was some confusion about what they needed exactly, but I eventually got it sorted and send in the post. So hopefully that’s all done now.
Then there were the continuing struggles with the mosquitos, it’s getting worse again and it’s so annoying. I got a bunch of bites again too and had to take my anti-histamine pills for most of this week. I called the company again that handles repairs and they said someone else already called and it’s on their list of things to get to. So fingers crossed that works and it finally gets resolved. They already tried to fix it weeks ago, but guess that didn’t work.
Besides that I went out for lunch with my sister. It was a lot of fun and nice to catch up with her. We ate good food and got some Stroopwafels (a popular Dutch cookie) to take home as there is a great place that sells them in the city we visited.
And it is my birthday! I got some money that I hope to spend on some new books and games. I got a new Lego set from my sister that I am excited to build soon.
What did I read this week?
Immortal Fire was a good ending to this series, lots of action and I liked the wrap up.
I also finished a story from last year’s Pets in Space anthology, Pets in Space 8. The one I read was Experimental Voyage by R.J. Blain, good world building, but not as much romance
And I finished my re-read of The Calling, which I didn’t enjoy as much as the first book or as I enjoyed this one the first time around.
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Red Winter by Annette Marie
– Review: Herbal Concoctions And Out Of Options by Laura Greenwood
– Review: Five Star Review by Marie Reynard
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: Dark Tempest by Annette Marie
– Review: Crown of Blood and Duty by Laura Greenwood
– Review: Summer Tales From Cozy Vales
For some reason, in spite of all the rain, we haven’t had many mosquitos but I still get bitten by microscopic insects in the backyard, expecially when I get into the flower beds with all the grass and wildflowers! What to do if you like flowers. Have a good week
That’s good to hear you haven’t had many mosquitos, but those bites by those microscopic insects in your backyard while you’re tending to your flowers sound annoying too.
Happy birthday! Good that you are able to get some things done even with the darn mosquitos. That would be very annoying.

Thank you! I really enjoy Lego, although I don’t buy it very often, so it was great to get a set 🙂
Happy birthday! I hope the mosquito situation gets resolved. I hate bugs.

Thank you! The mosquito situation is so annoying and has been going on for such a long time now.
Happy Birthday! Having to take anti-histamines stinks! Enjoy spending your birthday money, and hopefully the mosquitos die off soon?
Thanks! Luckily the anti-histamines help a lot against the allergic reaction I have to the bites and I have no side effects so far. I hope the mosquito situation gets resolved soon.
Attempting another comment! Happy belated birthday too!
Thank you! I am glad the commenting worked this time 🙂
