The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Itβs a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
It was again very warm this week, which was not fun. We’re still dealing with the mosquitos, not much change on that front. Luckily the later half of the week it got a bit cooler, but also more humid, so it didn’t feel much cooler in house for a while until it had been cooler for a few days. I had some nice relaxing days and we made a bit more progress on cleaning out our house and tackled a kitchen cabinet this week.
I am doing some mindspace work again, now that some of the worse stress is gone again I am trying to focus on what makes me happy and what brings me satisfaction out of life. I am struggling a bit with finding the balance between my need for routine and stability due to me being autistic as well as wanting some fresh and new things regularly. I am working on accepting and validating my emotions which has been very helpful. I am also reading a non-fiction book about anxiety which has been quite helpful.
I did a bit of assistant work setting things up on the website for an anthology one of the authors I work for is organizing for later this year. That was fun to do.
I heard from another blogger they had trouble commenting on my blog, I am looking into that now to figure it out. If you have trouble commenting on my blog please email me so I can have more information about when this is happening.
And I posted my posted my review for one of my rare 5 stars reads this week. I really loved this graphic novel and would appreciate it if you checked out my review.
What did I read this week?
My Kind of Trouble was a lovely romance story between an autistic librarian and a conwomen. I liked their romance and the autistic representation was well done.
This week I blogged about:
– Review: A Curse for Samhain by Dahlia Donovan
– Review: Navigating With You by Jeremy Whitley
– Review: The Kelpie Crisis by Arizona Tape
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: Red Winter by Annette Marie
– Review: Herbal Concoctions And Out Of Options by Laura Greenwood
– Review: Five Star Review by Marie Reynard
Yes, it seems that the days are getting cooler and autumn is in the air. Have fun with your reading this week.
I think we’ll be getting more warm weather next week, but it was nice to have a bit lower temperatures after the really high ones.
Navigating With You sounds lovely! I’ll have to keep an eye out for it.

Navigating With You was really good, I hope you get the chance to check it out π
We are finally getting a bit cooler, mostly the humidity/dewpoint. It feels lovely now, still hot some days, but not so stuffy. I’m always so impressed when people work on cleaning up / sort/throw. In some ways I am constantly doing this and in others, I have a few piles where I put things and never deal with them.

It definitely is nice when it feels less stuffy. We haven’t done any cleaning out since we started living here, so it’s quite the mess, it’s nice to finally have the time to tackle some of it.
Yeah, cooler is nice, but humidity is just as tough as heat sometimes. Yay for getting more cleared out and organized. I love that feeling. Sounds like you have found some wonderful strategies for working with your autism.
Love that you had a five-star read recently.
Have a good week, Lola!

I agree high humidity can be just as tough as heat. I liked we got to do some cleaning out this week.
One more month and it will cool down here finally.

It will be another month here probably as well, but it was nice to have some cooler days, it will get warmer again next week probably.
Sorry again about the mosquito problems π But I’m glad you had some nice days and also that you’re at a point with less stress where you’re able to try and figure out a balance that works for you in life. Hopefully you can find that balance π

The mosquito problem is such a pain, but it was nice to have some good days as well this week. I hope I can find the right balance.
We didn’t have rain for months and then as soon as we did mosquitos everywhere. Ugh. Hope you had a good week.

Mosquitos are so annoying, sorry to hear you got so many after the rain.
