The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
Happy new year!
This week was a bit of a struggle to be honest, it’s been another dreary week with wind, rain and almost no sun. I’ve been taking extra vitamin D to help with the lack of sunlight, but this time of the year can be a bit of a struggle for me.
We visited my boyfriend’s parents this week for a Christmas lunch even though it was after Christmas as that timing worked better. We had a nice lunch of soup, salad and baked apple.
As this was the end of the month as well as the end of the year there was some wrap up end of the month work I did. I also set a few things up for the new year. I finished up the author assistant work for this month and I have some new tours booked that I will continue work on next week.
What did I read this week?
Besides these, I also DNF’d two books this week that didn’t work for me.
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Vanilla Bean Vampire by Selina J. Eckert
– Review: The Macaron Witch by Laura Greenwood
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: Peppermint Tea and Nothing is Free by Laura Greenwood
– Review: Reindeer Games by Finley Chuva
Tours open for sign-up on Lola’s Blog Tours:
– Review Opportunity: Lily Makes a Way by Susan Count
– Review Opportunity: Scattered Legacy by Marlene M Bell
– Review Opportunity: Silver Hollow book by Jennifer Silverwood
– Review Opportunity: Close Your Eyes by Chris Tomasini
– Blog Tour: Copper Waters by Marlene M. Bell – 2 till 15 January
I love the title Cheddar Late than Dead! Cozy mysteries have the best titles. Hope you enjoy your new books and happy new year!

I agree, cozies have such fun titles and this series titles with the cheese puns are so well done. Happy new year!
Winter and lack of sunshine is always hard. Hope the weather clears soon. Your holidays and luncheon sounds lovely. Happy New Year Lola!
Thanks! Luckily this week was a bit better.
yes the more hours of dark are not invigorating. I’m glad you a nice holiday visit. Happy New Year and happy reading, Lola!

Luckily the days are getting longer already and we got a bit more sun this week too.
I love this time of year with the lack of sunshine. I love the cold, damp, overcast days. We are having one today.
Happy New Year! Here’s to a fabulous 2023!

I could enjoy it a lot more if it didn’t impact my mood and ability to wake up. I do appreciate the sun not being as bright or shining in my eyes this time of year.
Glad to hear you were enjoying one of those cold, damp and overcast days 🙂
I’m sorry, I hate dreary weather as well. I have a Vitamin D light that I use to help me — I don’t know if you’d find it helpful since you already take vitamin D pills. I know the simulated sunshine makes a world of difference for me though.
Hope you have a great week and the weather turns up a bit for you! Happy New Year!

I set the light on my ereader lighter in the morning, but not sure if it works yet. Hopefully the vitamin D pills help a bit too. This week we had a bit more light and sun in the mornings, which helped.
Happy New Year, Lola!
Glad you had a good visit with your boyfriend’s family. Too bad the winter blues have hit, but hopefully some sunshine and maybe a few milder days will come so you can get cheered up. Great stack of books read this week.
Have a good week!
This week had some milder days with more sunshine, which helped a lot. Last week really was a great reading week with so many books read.
Sorry to hear about the bad weather there. The winter is the same for me, always a struggle when the weather is not cooperating. I hope this next week is better for you!

Some winters really are a struggle. I have so much trouble waking up when it’s so dark outside and my mood usually is worse during winter too. Luckily this week was a bit better with a bit more sun 🙂
Happy New Year! May 2023 be a good year of reading.
