The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was a tiring and busy week and it didn’t go as smoothly. There were lots of small things that popped up and made the week feel even fuller. I also didn’t sleep as well a few nights which made me tired and made it harder to focus. The temperatures were a bit lower this week compared the last one, so that was nice and it could cool down a bit inside our house.
Last week we had an issue with the person not arriving for repairing our broken kitchen cabinet, this week we had a new appointment and luckily the mechanic did arrive this week and has ordered a new one. So now we have to wait till it arrives and they install it.
Work wise it was a busy week. The last week of a month usually is, but with a few extra tasks this time it felt even fuller. Luckily I managed to get almost everything done. I finished formatting the book I was working on, though not before running into even more issues this week. The audiobook I was proof listening to I finished as well. I also did the usual assistant work and end of month tasks. I worked on a non-fiction bookstagram blitz that I put live. Although I didn’t get around to finishing the new review opportunity yet.
What did I read this week?
I finished reading No Parm No Foul this week, which was a fun cozy. I liked the grilled cheese restaurant theme and timing around Halloween. I liked the mystery in this one and it kept me guessing, but wasn’t a fan of how the main character acted at times and the romance didn’t work for me sadly.
The Holiday Trap was a great read. I liked how it had two romances even though I ended up enjoying one of them more than the other. I liked how sweet and light it felt, but also touched upon some deeper issues with characters figuring out what they wanted.
This week I blogged about:
– Review: The Phoenix Nest by Arizona Tape
– Review: Death a Sketch by Cheryl Hollon
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: Goddess of Summer Love by Kelley Armstrong
– Review: No Parm No Foul by Linda Reilly
Tours open for sign-up on Lola’s Blog Tours:
– Review Opportunity: What They Don’t Know by Susan Furlong

Sounds like you managed everything popping up, but I’m sure it made things more stressful. I hope next week goes smoother for you!

It really was a busy week, hopefully the next weeks are less busy.
The Holiday Trap was such a great read. I really enjoyed it.
Sounds like you were busy! I’m glad the weather cooled off for you there. I know you all don’t have a/c so it’s tough when it gets hot.

It’s was nice to have some cooler days. Without a/c those really warm days are tough.
At least the repairman showed up on time. Hopefully when he has to install the new cabinets he’ll be on time too.
That’s what I am hoping too, now we have to wait first till the new cabinet arrives there.
